Rainy/sleety. Quite mushy outside.

A pretty good day today. I had a really hard time getting up this morning, but I finally did. I did my usual morning stuff and then started my soup. I chopped up the veggies, and then put them all into my slow cooker. I put the chicken in too. It was a little frozen still, so I put it in the water without cutting it up. Later on, I came back to the soup and pulled out the chicken, took the skin off it and cut it into little pieces.

While I was doing this I was watching The Actor's Studio. Today's first guest was Diane Lane. Well, Fumihiko was a big fan of hers, when we got married he had a poster of her up in his room! So, nice person that I am, I taped it for him.

When Fumihiko came home, I got him to change and then made him sit down and watch it while I cooked dinner. He was surprised in a good way!

Dinner tonight was coro-coro steak which I'd marinated in worchester sauce, salad and fried tofu. I fried the tofu in the same pan as the coro-coro steak, so it picked up a bit of the meat/worchester taste. Fumihiko raved about it. I was a bit surprised actually.

He finished watching Diane Lane after doing the dishes, then we did something different. We went out.

We went to Mr Donuts for some coffee. It was a nice break for me, I'd been in the house all day. We also had good timing as for the first few minutes they previewed a new cd by Eurythmics, so I got to hear a lot of my favourite songs. Then, they even played The Talking Heads - Road to Nowhere, which was a staple of my college radio programme. I was just having a good time. And, Fumihiko and I were actually talking to each other. Not about important things really, but just talking. Sometimes when we go out, we don't talk, so this was a nice change.

We came home and watched a bit of TV. I started writing some email that I needed to catch up on. It was a nice low key evening. We might have some soup soon. I'm not sure yet. It's been cooking away for a while now. It might be ready.

That was my day. Not bad. Tomorrow I think we're going to go to Spal the swimming pool. Fumihiko has wanted to go for a while, but we haven't been able to go for one reason or another.

Talk to you tomorrow night? Gotta go!
