Rainy with a bit of snow that didn't stay...so far!
This afternoon as I was getting dressed I put on a Japanese undershirt. For winter they make really warm undies here. They're so thick they could actually be an "outie" shirt. The one I put on today was a flesh colour with a low neckline. Actually, quite low for me. I'm more of a up-to-the-neck-neckline woman. Then, I had to find something to put on top of it. Even though I'd worn it around the house as a shirt, I didn't plan to wear it that way in public! I searched through my drawers and closet for a long sleeved shirt to wear on top of it and didn't find one, except for the one shirt that I haven't worn before. Why? Well, it's kind of low cut in front and the last time I tried to wear it with a regular nylon camisole underneath, I felt almost naked. I felt that if I moved too much I'd fall out of it and that would be highly embarassing. I tried putting it on top of the Japanese undershirt and....wow! The shirt didn't slide around like before, the undershirt covered me well enough underneath that I wouldn't get arrested if my shirt did gape in the front during the day...so hey, a match made in heaven! The sole problem was that the top shirt's sleeves did tend to ride up a bit, exposing my undershirt's sleeves, but that was a minor concern. Next time I'll wear my short-sleeved version. So, thank you Japan for letting me wear that sexy low-cut number that otherwise would have been a total waste of money!
The Mall & other diversionsWe had lunch in the Daiichi Hotel and then booked ourselves a meal on the twenty-third there. I wanted to do something nice for us for Christmas since it seems like we're not going to go anywhere. Then, we headed out to the mall. It was so crowded. Our movie didn't start for a couple of hours so we walked around for a bit, then had coffee at Seattle's Best. While we were there, I suggested getting out of the mall. I am not good around crowds of people. I suggested going to a new amusement center near the mall. Fumihiko loves spending time at these things, so he was happy to do that. We went over to the place and he bought some of the coins. We started playing on one machine and in the first 5 minutes, Fumihiko won the Jackpot. He won it again, about an hour later. When it was time to go back to the mall, he went to put the coins into the bank. Well, it's a new place so they have a new system! It's all done by fingerprints and secret codes! Yep, my husband got fingerprinted today at the Amusement center! I thought it was extremely funny. Talk about your high security for what? Small medallions that can't be spent anywhere else. How come the banks don't have that yet?
We headed back for the movie. As usual, Fumihiko bought the tickets and I got the popcorn and drinks. We went in and watched the movie. Earlier in the day I had pinched a packet of mustard from Seattle's Best coffee and I put that on my popcorn. Yum. How was the movie? We saw Eragon. I'm in the middle of the book right now and I can't remember if I've ever seen a movie of a book while I'm reading the book. It's interesting. I enjoyed the movie, although I don't think it's a great one. The story had to be shortened a lot and many things were changed, but over all I really didn't mind that. I liked it, but it wasn't the best movie I've ever seen.
Dinner & HomeWe had dinner in Cocos (don't laugh Gina!) near the mall. We had a bit of a kerfuffle when Fumihiko ordered the wrong food for me. I wasn't sure what he said until after the waitress left. Sure enough, he thought I'd asked for one thing, but I'd really wanted another. We got it all straightened out. You see, their menu is in English and in Japanese. I'd asked him in English for the Original hamburg in foil, but he thought I wanted the Original hamburg. Nope! Different things.
We came home and watched the end of the James Bond movie. It was one of the Dalton ones, the one I didn't see. Well, I missed the beginning sadly, so I didn't really know what was going on, but what I saw was fun. After it finished Fumihiko watched a bunch of weird stuff...no idea what really, then he took his bath. He's now playing computer games instead of going to bed. He has to work tomorrow. Why doesn't he go to bed???
Anyway, today was quite a good day. I didn't really do any shopping. I don't think I need to but I'd like to get a "fun" gift for hubby. Still, I think he'll be fine without it!
And that was my day. What do you think of this format, with titles? Is it a keeper? Got to go! Night night.
