April 2, 2005 - Saturday

Sunny and reasonably warm.

I woke up around 8:30 this morning, but had a bit of a hard time getting out of bed. I finally managed and went for a walk. I think my walk was around 20 minutes today, I'm not sure. I usually note the time when I leave, but by the time I come back I forget it! I walked around the park, it was fine. I did see a couple with a Sheltie, that was nice.

When I came home I showered and then made breakfast for the two of us. It was my usual cheese omelet, but it was pretty good nonetheless.

Fumihiko drove me to work and I taught my first class. It went okay, and so did the others later. I did a lot of prep, after all, I'm a bit busy on Tuesday.

I zoomed across to the hundred yen shop today to get myself a couple of batteries. My timer's been fading a lot recently and the TV's remote control was totally toast, so, it was about time for them. I also got a new mug for work. I took mine home before, but I got a new one. It's simple but cute I think.

On my lunch break I got quite into The Bookman's Promise, by John Dunning. It's about an ex-cop who becomes a bookseller. I think this is the third one I've read in the series. It's lovely to read a story about someone who really loves books. Not just the contents, but the physical book. I can't afford the books he talks about though.

After work, Fumihiko came and picked me up. I requested yakiniku tonight, so we went to Gyu-oh. It was quite nice. Fumihiko wasn't feeling that well so he had a light meal. I had egg soup and yakiniku. It was good. The bad meal we had a couple of months ago must have been a one-off.

We came home and watched the tail end of The Matrix on TV. I tried to tell Fumihiko that we didn't need to watch it on the telly, we have the DVD, but he persisted! I didn't mind actually. I love that movie.

And that's about it for my day. We've been drinking coffee since we got home. One question I have to ask is why does Fumihiko insist on making small pots of coffee? The whole reason I bought the big pot was so we could make big pots of coffee and drink them whenever. We use whopping great mugs for our coffee, but Fumihiko only makes 4 "mugs" of coffee at a time, according to the coffee pot. Well, that translates into one and a half mugs per reality. It's sort of annoying! Since we drink decaf coffee all the time, I drink a LOT of coffee. A Lot.

Anyway, gotta go. Have a good night all.
