October 28, 2001 - Sunday

Well, today was an exciting jam packed day. Sort of!

I slept in a bit, which was nice. Then I got up and had breakfast with my darling, also nice.

When I asked about our plans for today he told me that in the park nearby they were having a Wood Festival and he'd like to go and see it. So, off we went on our bikes. It was fun, we walked around, holding hands, and looked at a lot of the exhibits. There were stalls where you could make things, food stalls, vegetable exhibits (sort of like a country fair) and lots of people. It was interesting and I enjoyed it.

We came home, via the yakitori stand (that's grilled chicken on a stick for us non-nihongo people). At home we ate the yakitori then I actually helped Fumihiko's Mum make some yakisoba (fried noodles with meat and veggies). After that I wasn't sure what we would do, but Fumihiko took me out shopping.

We went to the Mikawa Jusco, also known as "The Mall". It was big and very crowded. West Edmonton Mall has nothing to worry about, but it was pretty decent, especially for Japan. I checked out the movie theatre but there was nothing much to see, right now. There's stuff that I'd like to see, but we had to get back home fairly soon. I've got to find out about the free bus there.

We went grocery shopping too, both at The Mall and in another grocery store. Then we came home and I did laundry. Some things never change. I still do laundry on Sundays!

After supper we watched a bit of Japanese TV until I got sick of it and decided to come upstairs and work on some email and my main page for November.

And that's about where I'm going to leave you. It's now 9 pm. I'll likely go to bed in a couple of hours, maybe I'll watch a bit of TV if there's anything bilingual on. Last night I actually got to see the end of Roswell, and Dharma and Greg. It was a bumper night. I hope I can watch something tonight.

On that weird note, I'll bid you good night. Good night!
