August 23, 2001 - Thursday
I'm going to start tonight's entry by talking about yesterday. It was raining heavily
when I came home but it was very stuffy in my apartment so I opened my bedroom window.
A lot.
After midnight, I'd just signed off my report from last night when I looked in my
room and thought, "Wow, I've never noticed that shadow before on my futon." Well,
when I got closer, I noticed that it wasn't a shadow, it was soaked. The rain was
streaming in my window. Oh dear. I did get it dry enough to sleep on, but it took a couple
of hours and judicious use of my fan.
Thursday was a productive, but non busy day. I had 5 lessons and amazingly in one
class I had 100% attendance. It's rare. I had a special lesson planned too, so
it was cool. We did my translation/Casablanca one. I think it worked really well.
The students were talking away, and very knowledgeably at that. Hurray!
After work I came home and watched the interview with Kevin Spacey that I had taped.
It was interesting. He can do amazing imitations of people. I had no idea that
he could do them!
And that's about it. Hopefully I'll be able to go to bed soon. I'm tired and I didn't
get to go to bed when I wanted to last night!
