I got back from the little get-together in Peoria about two hours ago, and I have to say it: I love you guys! You're all on crack, and I love you!!!! I have seriously not had fun like this in a long time, and I damn near laughed myself to an asthma attack last night. This had to be in the top ten list of coolest things I have ever done on my life, I swear. And now I'm looking forward to getting together with everyone again, and I am going to try my hardest to get off work so I can go to the BIG Scaper Con in St. Louis. < crossing fingers > Everyone there knows I'm going to badger them for their pictures, which means this will not be the last time everyone hears about this weekend!!!! =)

For those of you who are on the BBoard, you know about the little mini Scaper Cons that are going on. Basically, a bunch of Scapers are getting together, meeting, and just having fun. Well, tomorrow I head down there to meet a bunch of the other Scapers in the Midwest, and I am so looking forward to it. While I know people who do watch Farscape, there aren't any here that are as into it as me, and my family'll get sick of it soon (although I'm dragging my brother with me tomorrow < g >), so it'll be nice to meet people near me who share my interests. So I'll see you all when I get back on Sunday!

So. Monday night, I ended up just staying in my room, making graphics for the page (sigh, read the main page for why I'm sighing), and with nothing on TV, I decided I had to see the Flax.

Okay, I know from the Ramblings Awards how many of you are shippers, so be honest. Did you have to rewind The Scene after viewing? More than once? Do you still do so? Yeah, I thought so.

I've seen this episode enough times that the tape it was originally on is wearing out badly. I taped it again, and am glad I did. Thinking back, the writing is actually really excellent (FORESHADOWING!!!!), but I still watch it for the shippy parts. I'm horrible, I swear. Watch the scene. Rewind. Watch. Rewind. Watch. Rewind. Lather, rinse, repeat to a probably unhealthy degree. I still react to it almost like it's my first time seeing it. (Which, let me say, it was a good thing I was home alone when I saw it he first time. My spazzing would have had my family carting me off to the nearest asylum.) So. In conclusion, I love you, Justin Monjo!

So I'm sitting at my desk at work today, minding my own business when I hear one of the guys in the surrounding offices:
"Slicker'n snot!"
Immediately, before my mental filter could kick in, I started laughing hysterically, drawing attention from everyone in earshot. The sick thing is, before the Flax, I have never heard that expression, even with my Southerner relatives. I am so warped...

If you've read my posts on the BBoard, you know you're trusty webmistress is probably nearing a nervous breakdown and as I watch Nerve and THM on USA, I'm realizing that I am relating way too well to John in the Aurora Chair... And I'm also really glad I got into this show, because I at least have Friday to look forward to, keeping me going, and everyone I've met in this fandom has been so wonderful to me. So thank you all so much, and I promise to start looking up. =) See? A smiley!

I also can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm seeing the promo for Farscape for seriously about the seventh time in the last hour and a half, I GET THE POINT.

Well, if you're wondering why updates are late, there's a good reason- I got into a teensy little car accident. It really is teensy, there's no real damage to either car, no one was hurt (it was so little I didn't even know I hit her), and I'm stuck paying a ticket. But last night, the cops wanted me to come file an accident report but I couldn't because my mom had the car, and I ended up watching about 20 minutes of ABL (read: I ended up fast forwarding any non-Larraq parts, thereby cutting out half the ep) before going to sleep at 8:00, because it's just one of those WEEKS.

On a lighter note, I just about lost it at work today, for one reason. I was calling to validate a number for a place called J & A Co ("Co" is not the real name, but I'm not doing free advertising here). As if that's not bad enough, I've got two people in the hall talking about sending a product back to the shipper, and so I'm already smiling. So I call the number, and the phone is picked up like this: "J & A Co. This is John." And I just started laughing so hard I had to hang up on the poor guy. Yes, I realize I'm pathetic, I just don't care.

I took my mom out for her birthday yesterday, and one of the things we did was see the movie of her choice, with me paying. She wanted to see the Green Mile, which I now totally recommend to you. *So* good. Anyway, in a prison movie where people are put to death by the electric chair, I was immediately reminded of Farscape quotes from a certain episode. ("I got my mind right, boss." Or come on- "Fetch the comfy chair.") And if it's not bad enough that I'm finding myself trying not to giggle at stuff like this, they call the electric chair OLD SPARKY. That's it, I've got new nickname for Rygel! Great, thanks Farscape, you see what you're doing to me? =)

I have mastered the Aeryn ponytail.

While watching THM last week I noticed that the "battle ponytail" doesn't go straight back, there's a little twist to the top. Check it out, it's true. So we on the Shippers list discussed this, tried it out on ourselves, and now people like me can now do the Aeryn ponytail. Hey, I also sat in front of the computer reading how people were telling me how to do that Sebacean tongue click thing, so I don't think styling my hair in front of the screen is much of a stretch.

It's really fun to try to catch all the Farscape actors on what they did pre-Farscape. Or even after, like seeing Claudia in Pitch Black, because in most cases, it's so different from what you're used to seeing that it's cool. Anyone else been able to catch Ben Browder on Party of Five from way back when? (I want my roofer to look like that.) Let's see, I managed to tape Claudia's first episode of Hercules, and only saw a tiny bit before I accidentally taped over it. < sob > (And by the way, why do all these actors have to cover up their accents? I hate that!) Paul Leyden's now on As the World Turns < spaz > so I get to tape him every day. The Matrix takes on a whole new feel when you're trying to figure out if you can see what the other side of Paul Goddard's face looks like. I'm still scouring Lifetime to see if I can catch Ben's Danielle Steel movie. Hey, I've got nothing better to do on weekends. At least until Rerun Hell ends. =)

Want to hear about my computer problems? Okay, I'll tell you. I had a bunch of stuff on my computer for this site, and since that computer is not hooked up to AOL, I have to transfer it all by floppy disk to the one I am currently using. And wouldn't you guess, the floppy drive in this computer died! I'm going to kick something.

And I know you all had to wonder what I have to say about Paul Leyden's appearance on Beastmaster last Sunday. So, ahem. < a silly grin appears on Natalie's face > Leather pants. No shirt. *Great* body. The perfect arms. Can't believe he was covering up that unbelievable accent. Wonderful smile. Great body.

Lots to talk about today.

So last night as my mother is getting ready for work (she works overnight hours), I'm watching the 11:00 viewing of ABL, even though I am dead tired. I called her over, and she kept saying she had to get to work, but I said she just had to see this guy. (If you don't know who I'm talking about, you're obviously new to this site.) To which she sits down and watches for a couple scenes before realizing she still has hot curlers in her hair. Then today I was watching the ep, and she comes downstairs, sits down and says, "I want to see more of this guy." Like mother, like daughter, I know. We actually got into discussions on whether or not those wonderful leather pants were worth it if it chafed the hell out of your skin, and then we got into this Someday-Classic John vs. Larraq discussion, and then began musing on whether Paul Leyden and I really could have perfect-looking children. And she's so hooked. I'm not sure who's seen this ep yet, so I won't spoil it too much, but she was screaming in outrage at the TV at a certain scene towards the end, and ended the episode with a heartfelt shipper "aw..."

With all I've been trying to do to hook my mom on this show, I'm realizing that I've been trying too hard. I did nothing to really get her to watch ABL, and she was actually going to go see Pitch Black today, except that she didn't feel well. She wanted to see it for Aeryn. (Claudia, Mom. Her name's Claudia.) So instead my brother Nick and I went to see it, and we were both really impressed. Personally, I think it was worth it just to see Claudia kick Vin Diesel in the head. (And Nick loved when she said "bloody hell"- it's one of his phrases, so he was about ready to give a victory yell at that one.)

I have hooked another person! I was talking to one of the girls at work about our Friday night TV shows, and she says, "I have a confession. I've been watching that show of yours." And she likes it. Mostly for Ben Browder, yes, but she's officially hooked! So of course I told her she had to stay home at least long enough to lay her eyes on Larraq, with the added bonus of Ben in Leather. And more news: the Hanniscapers are now an official Buffy board bandwagon because there are so many of us. I love converting people!!!

Want to know how I spent my lunch hour? Looking for the Scifi Magazine with the Farscape CD ROM. Went to the Walmart next to my work. Nothing. Jewel? Nothing. Borders? Zip. Barnes and Noble? They had some copies, but the packaging was slashed open on them. Went to Oakbrook Mall, but found that they didn't have anything that could be rightfully considered a bookstore. For 50 minutes I looked and found nothing. So I went after work on my way home to the B&N by my house, and finally found it. Now I just want to tear into it to see what's on it, but I have to go to the Rygel chat tonight...

I got some devastating news today. < deep breath > Toni Kukoc was traded from the Bulls. For John Starks. (Who I hate, whether he was a Knick or not- my family has a bad rivalry with New York when it comes to sports, sorry to all New Yorkers out there.) My brother says there's a bright spot: now I can shout "My side, your side!" during a game with a reason now. It's still not enough.

To keep myself from sobbing (yes, I'm that rabid a fan), I'm trying to focus myself on Friday. Two reasons. One, A BUG'S LIFE RERUN!!!!!! My entire work knows about that episode now. I was a bad girl, went to a site during work just to show them who I was talking about, and I think seeing Larraq brought out some new converts. Two, Pitch Black is finally being released! I'm going to see it on Saturday, because I'm not giving up my ABL rerun, but I'm still psyched. I know I'm not alone. =)

So last week when work nearly sent me into full mental breakdown, my Muse headed off to safety and hasn't been back. So now I have some serious writer's block. Dammit! And I don't know, but it seems that there's been an increase in maternal-feeling Scapers since we got our first glimpse of Talyn (and even moreso with the Aeryn stuff). And I'm one of them. And then if you've been seeing the stuff I've been writing lately, you know how being surrounded with kids lately is not helping, because I've got five million ideas and I can't get them out onto paper! My head is going to explode, I swear.

I NEED it to be March 17. I mean it. I kept thinking that maybe I'd be okay, since we at least have reruns this time around. Nope. Especially since there was no Farscape, and we got Sliders instead. Cool for the sliders fans, but here's me desperately needing my Farscape fix at 7 and 10, and then at 1 on Saturday. I'm just glad we're finally getting Premiere next week! My copy cut off the first couple scenes, so maybe I can finally see DK!

It amazes me how much my coworkers have accepted about me. They don't mind me saying things like "frell", or my common phrase of "fetch the comfy chair." One of the girls I work with is very health-conscious, and she was telling me about calcium and bones, and when I was trying desperately not to giggle, she just went, "Just laugh! I don't know why, but I know you want to." Even today, the programmer just tried to comfort me when he saw the look of absolute terror in my face when he found the virus in the system. (I'm sorry, but as a rabid ABL fan, the word "virus" puts the fear of God in me.) I love my work. I love all the potential converts...

Six times. Six damn times I've seen the episode, and I cry every time! Argh! One of these days I will stop crying, I know I will. At least I'm getting better. I can finally make it through the John/Chiana scene without bawling. (Seriously, if Gigi Edgley wants her ego boosted, someone should send her a link here, she just totally amazed me.) I really need some serious help. And a hug.

What can I say? Enough people bugged me to bring it back, and coupled with the fact that I have really missed doing this, the diary is back in service as a permanent thing. It won't be an every day thing, because real life sucks, but I am going to be update girl here. =)

First off, hello to any Hanniscapers that I may have brought over here! I love converting people!

Okay, who else is spazzing over the finale? It's on again in about 40 minutes, and I made sure not to put on my makeup before Farscape. Let's see, I cried while watching it both times last night, and then while cruising the BBoards and mailing lists... < sob > Excuse me while I retreat back to my corner.
