100 Things about Bonnie

1. I must think my life is/was interesting, or I wouldn't be making this list. It's debatable whether anyone will agree with me.
2. I have five sons.
3. I wanted seven.
4. I've been married a loooooong time, and still like him.
5.I love chocolate, but isn't that a given?
6. It's tough times right now, and I worry.
7. Show me a slot machine, and I go into a trance.
8. Favorite color...blue.
9. Favorite flower...tulip.
10. Carbohydrates rule!
11. I don't dust.
12. But I do make a mean apple pie.
13. I love "chick" movies.
14. I love a good laugh.
15. And a good cry.
16. My husband and I sing to Oldies But Goodies all the way to Reno and back.
17. We stop at In 'n Out Burger, too.
18. Dieting is a perpetual attempt.
19. Potlucks are a weekly temptation.
20. My day job is challenging and interesting...and sad.
21. I work long hours so I can have a Regular Day Off every other Monday. It's not enough.
22. I'm absolutely bonkers over my kids and grandkids.
23. Our granddaughter, Cheyenne, was the first girl in 80 years born to the Drury clan.
24. Now we have girl #2, Alyssa Jaymes!
25. I wish I could sing.
26. I like "American Idol".
27. I don't like the people on Survivor.
28. I worked hard at becoming a good cook.
29. I feel that good food makes a home warm and cozy.
30. I have good friends at work.
31. My off-time is for my family.
32. I hate wind.
33. Rain is a necessity, but gloomy and inconvenient.
34. A friend and I went to Glamour Shots, and had a blast!
35. Johnny Mathis ran into my VW with his Jaguar XKE in 1964.
36. My hair is auburn, my eyes blue.
37. There's a time travel story in my brain, begging for release.
38. I love dachshunds and created a comic strip, starring Scooter, the Aging Dachshund.
39. We lived on the Canadian border (northern Idaho) for 7 years.
40. Son #4 was born in Canada and had dual citizenship until he was 21.
41. I remember asking the doctor for the "husband's knot" when #3 was born in Hollywood.
42. I made it to the FBI hiring list, but they froze hiring. Should I take it personally?
43. My husband won 3 free trips to Maui for sales.
44. We rented a Zodiac (two-seater) and were within a few feet of a pod of whales. Awesome!
45. We've suffered through four sons' divorces.
46. I always do the holiday cooking for the family. I used to resent it, but not anymore.
47. I try to consider the phrase "life is short" whenever I need to set priorities.
48. I'm from Missouri, and very stubborn.
49. I have a bad back.
50. I love sunny days and blue skies!
51. I think the weather's perfect between 80 and 95 degrees.
52. I'm always cold in the winter. I loved hot flashes!
53. I don't like motorcycles anymore.
54. I waterskiied when I was 6 mos pregnant with #3, our 3rd generation Marine.
55. I snack on ice cream.
56. Sometimes, I get on the treadmill.
57. I try to set a goal of only 3 pages of writing a day, so I won't be intimidated.
58. Our Marine son just made Chief Warrant Officer II.
59. He and his wife are in Okinawa.
60. I'm fascinated by the law.
61. My husband is a wild and crazy guy!
62. I'm a convert to Catholicism.
63. I love over-cooked Wheat Thins.
64. I collect anything that makes me laugh.
65. Instead of working toward a college degree, I took 25 college English classes.
66. When we lived in Idaho, I baked 9 loaves of bread a week and churned our butter every day.
67. We had a cow named Sunshine.
68. I home-schooled the two oldest sons for two years.
69. We had wood heat only for 14 years.
70. I went to Chico State and didn't go to a single party.
71. In Idaho, we had a two-seater outhouse with a view of a beautiful Canadian valley.
72. I want to go back to Disneyland.
73. My parents are in their nineties and run rings around me.
74. My husband went to Vietnam a few weeks after our wedding.
75. My husband survived a brain aneurysm.
76. I wrote inspirational articles before writing fiction.
77. I'm a tee-totaler.
78. I love going to the movies, and give the kids movie tickets at Christmastime.
79. My grandchildren are perfect, no matter what their parents say.
80. Christmas isn't as stressful as Thanksgiving, for some reason.
81. Our youngest grandchild has us wrapped around her little finger.
82. Another writer, Pamela Toth, and I have been pen pals for 25 years.
83. There's very little we don't know about each other and our loved ones.
84. A smile can brighten the world around you.
85. I make a strenuous effort to avoid negativity.
86. I have strong political and religious beliefs, so I don't talk about them with friends.
87. I don't have a pet right now.
88. Our abode looks like a Country Cottage.
89. I have a brother, a sister, two nieces, and three nephews.
90. If I'd had the guts, I would've tried acting.
91. I'm trying to lose ten pounds before the holidays.
92. I have cookies hidden beneath my computer table.
93. I'm excited to have my books re-published through Amazon/CreateSpace.
94. I need to hear all five sons' voices about once a week.
95. If they don't call, I leave a message with my full name and phone #.
96. My husband, Dennis, is fun and sexy.

98. Favorite Female Actors: Ashley Judd, Michelle Pfeiffer.
99. Favorite Singers: Elton John, Celine Dion, Kelly Clarkston, Bob Seger, Fleetwood Mac.
100. Money hasn't been important, but it would be fun to experience "rich."
