01.12.01 : Beatles Ride High, Teen Pop Ebbs
billboard chart report
Bottom Feeding: No one landed at No. 200 this week — because two albums tied at 6,134 copies sold, which was all that was needed to eke onto the charts. The unlikely duo of Orgy's Vapor Transmission and the soundtrack to Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas both ended up at No. 199.

12.18.00 : Orgy Gives No Clues To Fate Of Family Values
The fate of the Korn-created Family Values tour is still undecided, as neither management nor the tour's publicist will confirm that the tour will roll again in 2001....
...Orgy were tentatively set to play Family Values in late winter/early spring of 2001, but Orgy guitarist Ryan Shuck [said] it's iffy at best. "Family Values? I don't know if that's a reality yet, but the point of Family Values with the rotating stage was so that every band could have their own production, so, yeah we would do it. We would bring kind of Orgy props and dress the stage."
Orgy was on the first Family Values tour in 1998 with Korn, Limp Bizkit, Rammstein, and Ice Cube.

12.13.00 : Stars Come Out For Rare Deadsy Show
Sorelle Saidman reports:
Deadsy, perhaps the most famous "unknown" band in the country, made just the second live appearance in their four-year history Friday night, drawing a star-packed crowd to the Roxy in Los Angeles.
Guest appearances with and from members of Orgy, Sugar Ray and Korn on past recordings have raised the profile of the industrial-tinged synth-rockers and their frontman, Elijah Blue Allman. The singer's famous lineage — he is the son of Cher and Greg Allman — hasn't hurt, either....
Although the band has been recording since 1996, Deadsy have yet to release an album. Their self-titled debut was recorded and pressed in 1997, with promo copies shipped to the appropriate retail and media sources by Sire/Elektra before business problems at the label brought the release to a grinding halt before it ever reached store shelves. ....They're now on Korn's Elementree label in a joint venture with Dreamworks, making them Elementree's first signing since the label left a partnership with Reprise.
....A label spokesperson aid the album will likely hit stores in July...it could come out as early as March or as late as September.
