The Oklahoma City Bombing and The Homeless. Two American Tragedies The death and devistation in Oklahoma City was horrible, 168 people died unnessarsarily in the explosion. In just one year (1996), 154 homeless died, in one city, San Francisco, almost as many who died in the explosion, but many more will die in other cities, all over the U.S. every year! Most of these deaths are preventable. This includes a disproportunate number of children, women and veterans. There are some things that HAVE been done on a small scale that can be done on a much larger scale, and of course, the internet can be used also.
