Taylor Made Divers is an official club member of U.S. Diving. The team was formed in July of 1996 and trains at Palomar College in San Marcos, California. The club also trains at an indoor dryland facility. This facility is a one-of-a-kind facility in the US devoted to developing the conditioning and the diving skills necessary to compete at a championship level.

The team is coached by Dennis Taylor, a former head diving coach of UCLA and the two-time US Team coach. The team has achieved great success in its first 3 years considering its generally accepted that to become an accomplished diver could take up to 10 years.

Coach Taylor's training methods are a combination of the best techniques taught in the U.S. and traditionals techniques from the Soviet Union. Taylor's method involves breaking down dives into their components, teaching drills in a prerequisite order required to perfect the components, and then putting the perfected components together to form a dive. Each component must be mastered properly before the next is taught, in a formal progressive order.

The team is composed of novice and age group divers (J.O.) varying in age from 8-17 years old. This group of dedicated divers practices 6 days a week and compete year-round in regionals competitions. Practices are quality focused sessions resulting in consistent winning results for team members. If you are interested and want to find out more about our team, you can call (760) 591-9610 and ask for Dennis Taylor.
