The Shin-Nihon Kikaku Corporation
The Shin-Nihon Kikaku Corporation was     established in the mid-1980s. After developing     several games for the Nintendo Entertainment     System, the SNK Corporation developed their     MVS Board and introduced it to arcades     worldwide. Unfortunately, the SNK Corporation's     MVS Board did not gain the attention it     deserved due to the fact that more well-known     arcade titles such as Street Fighter stole all of     the attention. Even in spite of this obstacle, the     SNK Corporation developed their own     entertainment system series known as Neo-Geo.
The Neo-Geo Entertainment System Series
The Neo-Geo entertainment system series     began with Neo-Geo Gold: the SNK     Corporation's cartridge entertainment system     which brought perfect arcade ports into homes     across the world. Unfortunately, these perfect     arcade ports were reserved for the financially     endowed. Neo-Geo Gold's market suggested     retail price was $650 and its cartridges' market     suggested retail prices ranged from $225 to     $275. Addressing the outstanding prices, the     SNK Corporation developed a compact disc     entertainment system simply titled: Neo-Geo     CD. Again, however, a major problem arose:     lack of quality. The SNK Corporation's compact     disc arcade ports were easily scratched and     ruined, weighted down with exceedingly long     load times, and missing certain animation     frames. Third time being a charm, the SNK     Corporation corrected its Neo-Geo CD problem     by developing the Neo-Geo CDZ. This third     installment in the Neo-Geo entertainment     system series shined with reasonable load times     and full animations, but its maker's past mistakes     cost the Neo-Geo CDZ its life.
The Neo-Geo Emulation Uprising
The Neo-Geo emulation uprising began along     with other outdated entertainment systems from     Atari, Nintendo, Sega, and others. Most     recently, Neo-Rage X was developed and now     Neo-Geo Gold's perfect arcade ports are     available to play from a user-friendly interface.     By simply downloading a zipped file into Neo-    Rage X's ROM folder and clicking the "Import"     button on the user-friendly interface, your     favorite SNK arcade title will be available to     play by highlighting it from the game list and     clicking the "Launch" button. With 110 titles in     Neo-Rage X's game list, you're sure to find     digital nostalgia bliss.
