Graphics - Some of the characters are drawn a little blocky, such as DK and Link, but for the most part, it's unnoticable and the characters are drawn to standard. The levels of the game are well done, especially the secret stage.

Music - The music of Super Smash Brothers is a high point. The music brings back memories of old days playing the NES, and it accompanies the stages well. The return of the overworld theme, which was sadly missing from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, makes a strong return. Well done.

Sound FX - Unfortunately, the sound effects have been tampered with far too much by HAL for the US release. The light saber hum from the Japanese version is gone, and attacks don't sound as rich. Otherwise, the sound effect are excellent.

Storyline - Storyline? It's a fighting game! However, in order for Nintendo to avoid complaints from parents who say their kids are asking why Mario hates Yoshi, they've created the game so it appears that dolls are fighting, and that it's all in good fun for the characters.

Control - Great. Some characters are fast, some slow, and yet the control of it is great. The characters react as you would expect them to.

Replay Value - There's two parts to this, and one is Super Smash Brothers' greatest downfall -- the one player mode has virtually no replay value. You'll play it to get the secret characters, and then that's about it. However, in VS. mode, the fun almost never stops, especially with 4 players. This is where SSB shines, and you can see that this game was made for parties.

Creativity - Parts of each character's individual games are well chosen, and the attacks of each character are well rounded. The choice of weapons and the different stages are very creative.

Fun Factor - One player mode is short lived, but VS. mode is almost never-ending fun.

Difficulty - This is variable. Still, the one player mode is pretty easy.

Storyline - Nonexistent, really. Hey, it's a fighting game! (Unless you count that it's all part of a child's imagination).

Length - Multiplayer lasts VERY long. One player lasts about 15 minutes.
