The Third Policeman - Flann O'Brien. This book is so creative and wild it will make you smile like a fool on the bus.
Surely You're Joking Mr. Feynman - Richard Feynman. This book should be read by everyone as it is too fun to miss. It dips into topics of physics and mathematics only briefly, mostly just touching and hilarious anecdotes of one of the wildmen of science.
Steppenwolf -Hermann Hesse. A classic example of outsider literature, dealing with the conflicting
aspects of one's personality. I think most people will find something they relate to in this book,
because everyone suffers from inner conflict sometimes. Steppenwolf is philosophicly and
psychologically very potent, and also beautifully written, and enjoyable to read.

Haroun and the Sea of Stories -Salman Rushdie. This is a book for people of all ages.
Like C.S.Lewis's Narnia Chronicles, it is imaginative and full of clever allegory.
Colourfully written, a perfect escape from life's seriousness.
I recommend it to anyone who appreciates a good story.
The Left Hand of Darkness -Ursela K. Leguin. This is my favourite sci-fi book. How shall
I describe this one?..cold, dark, haunting, beautiful. It perfectly depicts love and companionship.
