California State University Cheerleaders are a non-competitive squad whose main focus is connecting the crowd with the game. Additional duties include: Public Appearances, Community Involvement, and Support of the programs offered by the Athletic Department.
Ambassadors of School Pride
CSUB Cheerleaders are expected to represent the University in a professional manner. This expectation extends to all practices, all assigned games, and all assigned activities. Basics include; clean uniform, appropppriate uniform for event, on time, stay for the entire event, no complaining about adverse conditions, repect for team mates, coaches, athletes and community members.
Communication Essentials
Failure to know - is no excuse! Avoid being embarrassed, know the time date, location and details of all events. Write it down! Call a team mate! Call the coach! We offer E-mail, voice mail, bulletin boards, pager, cell, home and office phones. There is absolutley no excusses accepted for not knowing! Be responsible - take action ! Get informed.
Community Involvement
Be prepared to get involved. You are required to participate in all fundraisers, all assigned school sponsored events,as well as: (1) food drive, (1) toy drive, (1) literary program. You must perform these activities to thier completion, without complaint.
Commit or Get Out
This program does not have the time for individuals who want self gain. You are either totally dedicated to make all practices, all assigned events and games, community involvement or you are out. Zero tolerance for non-compliance.
