Bobby!
(August 2000) Louisiana-Mississippi-West Tennessee District Governor Bobby Schroeder also made the trip to San Diego for the 2000 International Convention. Bobby is a great guy from just outside New Orleans, LA. He wants me to come out there to Mardi Gras one year... I'm pretty sure I will. It's just a question of when. Bobby is also a baseball umpire when he's not busy in Circle K. LMT is lucky to have him!
Emily!
(August 2000) Here I am with Emily Smuin, governor of the Utah-Idaho (Udaho!) District. She's a total sweetheart from just outside of Salt Lake City. She is always cheerful and just about as nice as Chrissy Tanoura - if not nicer (hmmm what do you think, Chrissy?). Bobby and I are planning to do something evil to corrupt her one day -- but neither one of us has come up with a plan just yet. Emily is a great person to talk to..... and we're only kidding about corrupting her (kinda).
I love southern Utah -- where the desert environment mixes with the mountains. Emily lives in the north, but hopefully she'll get a club started in St. George, so I'll have an excuse to go out there again!
Emily will be in the Maracaibo area of Venezuela from June 2002 until October 2003, doing missionary work for her church. She was VERY excited about this assignment, and although she doesn't speak Spanish at all (another similarity to Chrissy! j/k), I know she'll do a great job.
Lauren!
(April 2000) And here's Lauren Maeda, another Circle K friend of mine. Lauren is originally from Hawaii and we met as Key Club Lt. Governors. She moved on to Stanford University (since she was pretty tired of living on an island) and became a Pre-Med major... now her life is pretty stressful, but it will all be worth it, because one day she's going to be one of the best doctors around. She's the kind of person who's extremely good at everything she does. We've lost touch recently but hopefully she still knows I exist.
I've never been to Hawaii, but I hope she's there if I go sometime. I'd also like to see Brandy Kunishige and some of my other Hawaiian friends. Aloha!
