The TPI Association of South Australia is an Ex Service Organisation catering for the Totally and
Permanently Incapacitated ex Service men and women. There is a TPI Association
in each State in Australia. The one in South Australia is on the corner of
Hutt St. and South Terrace, Adelaide. The phone number is(08) 8223 2443.
Accommodation is available to any serving serviceman or ex serviceman & woman and their families
for $30.00 per night per person for the basic room. There are also a few upgraded rooms at de-luxe standard with bar fridge and colour TV.These are $80.00 per room. Bar facilities are available (prices extremely favourable)

The RSL (Returned Services League) is an Ex Service organisation for all
Ex-Service men and women who served in all theatres of war and/or who served in
any branch of the Services. The RSL has many branches throughout Australia.
They provide Social Activities, Bar facilities at most , if not all, branches.
The RSL also helps with claims for disability pensions. Check out their pages

THE PLYMPTON-GLENELG RSL SUB-BRANCH

The Plympton RSL has merged with the Glenelg Sub-Branch and has undergone
much needed refurbishment and improvement. It is envisaged that the club be
a class venue for our members.
We now offer very fine meals at very low, affordable prices.
Currently we serve lunches on Sundays at $2.00 which sometimes includes Sausage sizzle or another exciting alternative.
On Thursday Evenings we offer Dinner at $3.00. The menu for this meal varies but it usually consists of Meat, chicken and chips .
Our chef likes to experiment a bit so you get various exotic dishes.
Come and visit the club.
CLUB HOURS
Thursdays - 4pm til late (Barmans discretion)
Fridays - 4pm til late Duty Officer' s discretion)
Saturdays - 4pm til late (Manager's discretion)
Sundays 10am til 4pm or until everybody's well and truly gone or blotto.

The meals are prepared by Maggie Craig, George Craig and Robert Henderson.All experienced
Cooks and ex Hotel Managers.
The meals have a reputation of being nutritious, delicious and fantastic and I'm not bragging :-)
HAPPY HOUR : For our alhocol maniacs - Thursday from 4pm to 5pm and NO Extensions.
Schooners of beer $1.50 and Wine $1.20 . Soft Drinks $1.00
NORMAL PRICES : Schooners $2.00 - Wine : $1.40 and Soft drinks : $1.20
Other drinks e.g Spirits way below hotel prices. You can actually get pissed on $10.00

THE VIETNAM VETERAN'S ASSOCIATION -
Has branches in each State of Australia and specifically looks after
Vietnam Veterans. The VVA is a very worthwhile organisation, has many
functions for the Veterans and their families and also operates a
Counselling Service. Any Veteran who is not yet a member and would like to be
should get in touch with the Association in their State. Telephone numbers
can be got through the Department of Veterans Affairs.
