Worm fungus or Cordyceps sinensis This is one of the weirdest ingredients used in health tonics. It is symbiant of a caterpillar and a fungus. Its called dong cong xia cao meaning "winter worm, fall fungus." It is comprised of a caterpillar that gets infected with a fungus on the head. The dark portion is the fungus and the light brown section is the dried caterpillar. If you look carefully, the feet can be seen on the caterpillar. They are collected from the Szechuan province. It is one of the most expensive herbs sold in a store retailing for about $80 an ounce now. Although several years ago, it only went for $50 an once.
Ganoderma lucidum
Commonly
known as reishi, the "ling chi" fungus, or fungus of immortality. They
typically resemble the fungus that grows on trees. Different varieties of ling chi are colored differently. Some are reddish brown while others are dark brown. It was once quite
rare until people learned how to cultivate them. It is believed to
boost the immune system and also lowers high blood pressure.
Herbs for Cancer
There are plenty of herbs or combination of herbs that have been used
to treat terminally ill cancer patients. Case studies have shown
that a traditional, 50 cents-an-ounce herb has cured people from terminal
cancer. There is also another perenial herb that is extremely rare
in the United States. A person has claimed that it has cured him
of his terminal cancer. After much begging and pleaing from someone,
he gave a small plant away for free. However, what works for
one person may not work for everyone. There is also an herb that
is used to increase white blood cells when a patient has been too weak
to continue receiving chemotherapy. These types of herbs are probably
best used in between chemo sessions. No names of such herbs are proivided
here for fear of lawsuits from corporate Amercica and/or large pharmaceutical
companies, not to mention the US govt. For these entities must protect
their own $$$ interests.
If you like dried shiitake mushrooms or need Chinese herbs and do not have access to them or want good prices, I will happy to be your personal shopper and get you the best prices! Usually cheaper than most online prices!
