| 1953 | rear-engined "Canuck" series coaches introduced. |

| 1967 | Canuck 600 coach introduced; 700-series transit bus introduced. |
| 1968 | Last of 693 highway coaches built (a Canuck 600); prototype E700 built for the Toronto Transit Commission. |
| 1971 | Purchased by the Manitoba Development Corporation and renamed Flyer Industries Limited. |
| 1974 | 800-series transit bus introduced, in conjunction with AM General. |
| 1978 | 900-series transit bus introduced, with a redesigned front end. |
| 1980 | 901 model transit bus introduced. |
| 1986 | Purchased by Den Oudsten B.V. of Holland, and renamed New Flyer Industries. |
| 1987 | D40HF model introduced; New Flyer of America final assembly plant opened in California. |
| 1988 | D60HF 60-foot articulated introduced. |
| 1989 | First North American low floor bus (D40LF) delivered. |
| 1990 | NFA final assembly plant moved to Grand Forks, North Dakota. |
| 1996 | NFA final assembly plant moved to Crookston, Minnesota. |
| 1998 | D40S and D45S (40- and 45-foot) suburban buses introduced. |
