stupid mutt.  i do not.

we have two full-bred siberian huskies.  ronin is the male silver husky.  he's my favorite.  both dogs are very destructive.  they wear patches in the grass and dig holes under the fence to escape all of the time.  luckily our neighbors like us enough to chase after them and bring them home - usually before we even know they've gotten out.  ronin joined us soon after we bought our house in 2001.  we found him at the animal shelter when he was ~4 months old - he apparently had too much energy for his previous owners.  lucky for him we're just stupid enough to pay the thousands of dollars he required for a privacy fence, various electric fences and collars that failed to keep him in the yard (he dug them up and chewed through them), destroyed landscaping, and endless supplies of squeaky toys.   we tried obedience class, but he got kicked out.  he mastered the tricks for the trainer, then got board and started messing w/ the other dogs.  he has started to chill out over the past year, thankfully.

nikita was a valentine's day present for dh in 2003.  stupid me - now i have two of these dogs.  the vet had told us that another dog would chill ronin out.  dh wanted a red husky - so we found a breeder this time and brought home a puppy.  i wanted to name her "ronin's sexy bitch" but dh wouldn't let me put that on the papers.  so we settled on nikita - aka niki.  she's nutso hyper, but she's gorgeous.  both dogs are awesome with kids, they just have a problem with jumping up on people.
