Day by day, O Lord,
three things I pray:
To see thee more clearly,
love thee more dearly,
follow thee more clearly,
day by day.

Keep us, O God, from pettiness;
let us be large in thought,in word,in deed.
Let us be done with faultfinding
and leave off self-seeking.
May we put away all pretenses
and meet each other, face to face,
without self-pity and without prejudice.
May we never be hasty in judgment
and always generous.
Let us take time for all things;
make us to grow calm, serene, gentle.
Teach us to put in action our better impulses
-straightforward and unafraid.
Grant that we may realize it is
the little things of life that create difficulties;
that in the big things of life we are as one.
Oh, Lord, let us not forget to be kind.

Father, forgive us for the times
that we have questioned you;
forgive us for the times
we have doubted you;
forgive us for the times
we've shaken our heads
and pounded our fists against the earth
and cried, "Where are you?"
For Father, we know
that you have been there-
you've carried us through the valley,
and you've given us strength.

Father, I ask you to bless my friends
reading this right now Lord,
show them a new revelation
of Your love and power.
Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister
to their spirit at this very moment
and meet their needs.
Where there is pain,
give them Your peace and mercy.
Where there is self-doubting,
release a renewed confidence
in Your ability to work through them.
Where there is tiredness, or exhaustion,
I ask You to give them understanding,
patience, and strength as they learn
submission to Your leading.
Where there is spiritual stagnation,
I ask You to renew them
by revealing Your nearness,
and by drawing them into
greater intimacy with You.

I do not know how long I'll live
But while I live, Lord, let me give
Some comfort to someone in need
By smile or nod, kind word or deed.
And let me do what ever I can
To ease things for my fellow man.
I want naught but to do my part
To lift a tired or weary heart,
To change folks' frowns to smiles again.
Then I will not have lived in vain.
And I'll not care how long I'll live
If I can give... and give... and give.

There is a fracture created within
our hearts when we are abandoned.
Lord fill this fracture,
healing it with your love.
Heal the emptiness that holds me to relationships
that do not bring joy to my heart.
Help me understand that
which hides from my awareness.
Direct my life to a place of peace
and teach me to forgive
those who have hurt me.
My patience is being tested.
My sweet babies are pulling away.
This process is painful and frustrating.

hold me when I am afraid.
Place your spirit around my body
my heart and my all feeling.
Stand so close that nothing
feels like it can harm me.
Send an angle, your shielding messenger,
down and surround me with the calm
protective light of love,
that puts all fears to rest
and let me know you are here
and all is well.

I experience with each breadth
your love and protection.
Every minute of every hour
I feel the intimacy that
entwines my heart with yours.
Every hour of every day
you listen and comfort me
filling me with your presence.
Everyday of every week
You surrounded me
with your spirit.

and overwhelming peace.

the spirit of the divine.

I am afraid.
So many things unsettle me.
Teach me to have trust and faith,
a faith that is stronger then the fear.
Help me learn strength and always
remember I am part of the creator
filled with life-force at my fingertips.
My fears compound my fears,
a mountain of anxiety.
I seem to get trapped by them.
I know you can move mountains,
create the atom,
the earth,
the moon
and the stars.
Please help me build my own self in courage,
knowing I am capable of handling
all of my life situations,
both the simply and complex.
Fill me with the power of creation
and build a place in my heart
where fear cannot live.
A place you and I reside together.

I call out in silent prayer
when the sun is down.
Alone in my quiet
I call out to you.
Do you hear my words, my thoughts?
Do you understand who I am?
Do you know what I need?
My wants,
My passions,
My desires.
Do you know me?
I wonder if you
are really listening.
Creator how will I know
if you can hear me?
How do I know if you value me?
Please teach me to understand
the ways you communicate.
Help me trust you
when things go wrong
Knowing your spirit
is still alive in my life.
Let me find the words
to share my life with you.
Let the morning be filled
with a shared voice.
The voice of my heart
and the voice of my creator
wrapped into
One voice,
One song,
One harmony.
Teach me to hear you,
So I can know that you heard me.
