We love T4's Making the Band. So we couldn't resist meeting up with the manufactured popsies O-Town when they hit the UK.
What have been the best and worst bits about Making the Band?
Dan: The best part is that I got to meet four other really cool guys who share my love of music. The worst part is that we all had to leave our family and friends behind and we don't get to go home and spend as much time with them as we'd like.
Who's your favorite boy band and what do you think can do that they can't?
Erik-Michael: Although we respect what bands like the Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync do, it's important to us that we're not viewed exactly the same as everybody else. If you do the same thing as other bands you're a step behind them. Our TV show sets us apart from everybody else, which was a great start.
Ashley: We've been through so many experiences since we got together. It's been difficult because our family and friends can't really relate to the things we do, like living on camera for 24 hours a day and giving up our privacy. But we couldn't have asked for a better opportunity to get us out there and do what we love. We've been very lucky.
What would you done if you hadn't made the final five?
Erik-Michael: It wouldn't have been the end of the world if we hadn't made it. We've had a great time and learnt so much, we would have left in a much better position than when we joined in the beginning.
What's next for O-Town?
Ashley: We're currently filming the second series. It's going to include us recording our first album and going on tour. Our first single Liquid Dreams will be out in the UK in the New Year and we're all really excited about it.
