“Lee, phone.” Liz said as she opened the door to Lee’s room. Lee got herself up and she rubbed her still half asleep eyes.
“Hello?” Lee asked as she walked around her room.
“It’s me.” Chris said.
“Long time no see.” Lee joked. Chris laughed along with her.
“I’m calling for a professional reason, Lance wants to meet with your parents tonight so he can gat you guys the deal.”
“Sounds good. What time?” Lee asked.
“Uh, he told me 5:30 at his place. You have the address right?” Lee nodded to herself,
“Yup, Amanda gave it to me.”
“Cool, well on a more personal note, you bust tomorrow?”
“Yea, I have school.” Lee laughed.
“Oh, I’ll pick you up after school then?” Chris asked.
“Sure.” Lee said.
“Hey, I’d better go. Justin had to use the phone to call Syd.”
“Bye, bye bye.” Lee said joking again.
“Fun-ny.” Chris said.
Meanwhile at Heather’s house..................
Heather was up and couldn’t find Kim anywhere. She walked down the hall to find David watching mtv.
“Morning David. Where’s Kim?”
“Uh, I think she’s upstairs, making your mom’s bed.” David said.
“Why? It was made when she left.” Heather said trailing off.
“Well, it wasn’t.” David said.
“David!! You didn’t.” Heather said suprised. She knew David from school and he didn’t seem like that kind of person. But then again, neither did Kim.
“That’s none of your business.” David smiled.
“You did. I cannot believe it.” Heather said.
“It seems everyone is getting it but you!” David teased.
“Morning everone.” Kim said walking down the stairs with a pile of dirty sheets.
“Kim if I were you I suggest you get those washed now. Mom might come home early and..” Heather was interupted by the door opening.
“Morning girls.” their mother said as she walked into the living room and sat down. Kim ran into the laundry room and put in the load of ‘wet’ sheets.
“Heather, how did you sleep last night?” Danette asked as Paul came in and closed the door.
“Uh, fine, I went to bed early, I was pooped.” Heather said looking at David who was mouthing that Danette had called while she was out.
“Good. Now where’s Kim? David, get a shirt on. Paul and I have some wonderful news to share.” Danette said as Kim had just sprinted back up the stairs.
“Mom! Hi.” Kim said as she sat down on the floor next to David.
“Grils, and gentleman, Paul and I are grtting married as you already know, well. This week he is moving in. David, you will get the room down the hall across from the girls room.”
“Mom, that’s dad’s study!” Kim said.
“Was. dear. It was your father’s study. Now, I want the three of you to ‘get lost’ for tonght. Paul is getting the moving van to come tonight, And the last thing we need is three teenagers getting in the way. So here’s some money foe each of you to go to the mall tonight. Get dressed and go.”
Danette said as she got up to go to the kitchen. Paul followed her in there.
