“Hey, Dave will we be anywhere near Orlando this afternoon?” Joey asked with
anticipation.
“Yea, Why?” the driver asked.
“Well, the Dr. Phillips high school is having the annual talent show. It’s
happens every year on this day. It’s a pretty big event.” Joey replied.
“Well, I have an idea.” JC said as he looked up from his book, “Let’s all go
undercover at the school, as new kids. I’ve always wanted to do that....
pretend to be someone else.”
Justin let out a laugh. “Huh, you mean to tell me you want the five of us to
just show up and all automatically be new students to the school? It’s to
obvious, First off, Chris looks to old to be even a senior, Joey is
questionable, The only people who could pull it off would be me and Lance.
JC, you’d be the tricky one.”
“Well, the three of you could be brothers.” Chris added.
“Yea.. Wait! Why would we even do this? How long are we planning to be new
kids at a school? A day? That’s not even worth it.” Lance said.
“Yea what it we meet women?” Justin asked
“Teenagers.” Lance said correcting him as he continued, “Teenage fans who’d
scream and shriek at the sight of any one of us. And then our little
adventure would be in all the teenybopper magazines and then all hell would
break loose.”
“You’ve got to admit guys it would be kinda cool to play pretend even if
it’s for a few days.” JC said defending his “great idea” in the first place.
“Ok, ok, you three decide what the heck you are going to do. But Chris and I
are going to go to the talent show weather or not you decide to “go back to
school” Joey said.
“Yea, but you only live once....” Dave the driver added as the bus passed a
Welcome to Orlando sign.
Back at Dr. Phillips............
“Ok, next, band, sound check.” a man said penciling something on a
clipboard.
“Ok, this is “Sweet Harmony” and this is our version of what a girl wants.”
Heather said into the microphone. The four were doing their thing, dancing,
and singing. The song started out with NSYNC’s riddle, and after the first
verse, went to Christina’s What a girl wants. Lee and Heather sang lead as
Dana and Kim danced in the back round. At the end of the act, everyone was
applauding.
“Ok, next!!” the man with the clipboard yelled.
“Let’s go to lunch. “ Kim suggested. So off they went....
