Epilogue
Jayme yawned as she felt herself waking up in Nick's bed. She didn't wanna wake up she wanted to spend the rest of her life in Nick's arms like this. "Mmmm." She moaned when she felt Nick's arms tighten around her. She rested her hands on his chest and pressed her forehead to his chin, her eyes closed the entire time.
Without opening her eyes she caressed his cheek and sighed happily, "I love you Nick. Forever and always, you'll always be my Nicky, my Carter. Your my only one, your the only person I wanna be with."
She kept her eyes closed assuming he was asleep and prepared to fall back into a deep sleep herself.
"I love you too Jayme, you'll always me my J, I love you with all of my heart and I wanna spend the rest of my life loving you." Nick told her.
Jayme smiled and rested her head on his chest. He had been listening the entire time, she couldn't believe how lucky she was. Nick loved her, she was loved. She was finally happy.
Her heart ached with regret when she knew that tomorrow she would have to leave and start touring again, and Nick would have to record. What would it be like with Nick while they were both apart? Would they be able to survive the distance? But she knew no matter what they would be together....forever....
With her eyes remaining closed she pressed her face to his and at the exact same time they both whispered three little words that melted each others heart...
"I love you."
