Chapter Three
"Well guys, what should we do?”
“I have no idea, dude, I mean, Nick’s gonna be crazy. We all know that she won’t come back to him as fast as he’s gonna want her to.”
“Yeah, he already IS crazy. He’s been talking nonstop about being stupid and never wanting anyone else except for Becca for about the past month. He’s in love, and she isn’t ready to give him that back.”
“Well, she’ll go back to him. I could tell from her face today. She just forgot everything that happened for that split second in there. She’s gonna forget about it forever sooner or later. He’ll make sure it happens.”
While Brian, AJ, Kevin and Howie were having this conversation, Nick and Becca were talking too.
“Becca, I’ve been going insane lately, because you are the only one that I want, and I knew I couldn’t have you. It scares me because I don’t have feelings for ANYONE except you.”
“Nick, you don’t know how hard this is for me. I was with you my entire life, and then I lost you. I regret every single move I made, but I also realize if I hadn’t done that that i would be be hurt so badly that I wouldn’t be able to realize what had come over me. I want you to know I love you and that I wouldn’t intentionally hurt you. And that is what i thought you would say too. But you didn’t, and I ran. And ever since I have been running...from everything.”
“Why, Becca? Why do you run? And why don’t you come back? Please tell me, because I need answers so badly.”
“Nick, I run because I am crazy. I want to block out everything except for what I want to happen. And when I run, I am away from everything I don’t want.”
Becca started crying again, because she was thinking about everything that went on between Nick and her before they broke up. The good times.
“I want it to be like old times. I want to be your best friend, and be able to talk about anything. The closest I have to that is Brian, but I want you. Please Becca, at least be my best friend again.”
“I love you Nick.”
She got up and hugged him, and went to talk to Mike. She apoligized for earlier, and said she would be there the next morning to talk about the dancing. This was going to be an eventful few months.
