Chapter Ten
“Hey Frick...did you find Nick.”
“Yeah. Him and Becca should be here soon.”
“Okay.”
Then Nick and Becca walked in.
“Hey dude! Where have ya been?”
“Later Bone!”
“Yeah, okay.”
“Alright guys, now that everyone’s here, let’s get started. Get with you partners and get in your positions for “I Promise You”.
Then the music started, and everyone started dancing.
“Okay...AJ and Chloe, come over here so I can go over a couple parts with you. Everyone else run through any parts you are having trouble with, or either take a break.”
Nick, Brian, and Becca all decided to take a break.
“Do you two wanna go out to eat with Leighanne and me tonight?”
“Sure.”
“Alright...we’ll be at the usual place, usual time.”
“Okay.”
“We figured we’d go eat there since we won’t be back for a while.”
“Yep. I’ve got to get ready to leave!”
“Yeah, dude, you’ve got some major house cleaning to do.”
“I know, I know.”
“Back to work, now!” Fatima said.
They all rehearsed for a couple more hours, then they all were free to go. Nick and Becca went to take a walk on the beach.
“Ya know, I can never get enough of this place.”
“Me either, I love it here.”
“There’s always one way to tell if I really love you.”
“And what would that be?”
“If I bring you here so that I can spend time with you....kinda like we are doing now.”
“I love you so much.”
“I’d never hurt you again, Becca.”
“I know.”
“Here....”
Nick took the promise ring that he had given her before out of his pocket and put it on her finger.
“Thank you.”
“You’re very welcome.”
“What time is it?”
“Almost six.”
“We better get going so we can get ready to meet Brian and Leigh.”
“Yeah, let’s go ahead.”
Nick and Becca started walking back up the beacg when none other than Riley started walking up to them.
“Oh lordy, here we go.” Nick said.
“Hey baby.” Riley said.
“Leave, Riley.”
“Why, you know you love me.”
Nick put his arms around Becca’s waist and pulled her close to him.
“We’ve got to go. Later, Riley.”
They they started walking to Nick’s house with their arms around each other. When they got there, Becca went to her car and drove home so she could get ready. She had no idea what she was going to wear. It wasn’t really a fancy restaurant, so she could wear something casual. She went through her closet and picked out an outfit. It was a pair of black leather pants and a white tank top with “Rock Star” written on it in blue. Then she went to fix her hair. She curled it a little, then she pulled it back on either side. She did her makeup, and exactly at seven Nick rang her doorbell. She opened the door and Nick was standing there with a rose.
“Hey babe,” he said. “You look great.”
“Thanks, you do too!” she said, which she went to put the rose in a vase.
Nick was wearing khaki pants, and a green checked button up shirt.
“Ready?”
“Of course.”
