Chapter Eleven
Nick and Becca arrived just as Brian and Leighanne did. They already had reservations, so they could get right to their seats. When they sat down, Brian and Nick said they would be right back. They walked over to the bathroom.
“Have you talked to her yet?” Brian asked.
“Not yet, I will after supper. I’m gonna take her somewhere.”
“Where?”
“I don’t know, probably the beach.”
“Why did I even ask?”
“Let’s go ahead and go back, okay?”
“Alright.”
They walked back and sat down, and everyone ordered their food. They just sat and talked until their food came.
“Okay, we have an announcement to make,” Brian said.
“Okay.”
“We are going to get married.”
“Really? Congratulations!” Becca said.
“Yeah, man. That’s great.” Nick said.
“When are you planning on having the wedding?”
“Whenever the tour is over, probably. A few months.” Brian said.
“Cool.”
“Yep. We’re really excited.” Leighanne said.
“You should be!” Becca said.
“Yeah! Haha.”
They talked about the wedding a little longer, then their food finally came.
“This is really good!” Nick said.
“I know, it is.”
“So are you excited about leaving tomorrow?” Nick asked.
“I am. We’ve been working non-stop for this!” Brian said.
“I’m guessing you’re coming too, right Leigh?”
“Yep. I’m excited.”
“Me too,” Becca said.
“Would anyone like coffee?” the waiter asked.
“I would.”
“Me too.”
“We do too.” Nick said.
“Alright, four coffees?”
“Yep.”
“Okay, that will be right out.”
“Thanks.”
“I’ll be right back,” Becca said.
“Alright.”
“I’m gonna come, is that okay?” Leighanne asked.
“Yeah, that’s fine.”
While the girls were gone, Nick and Brian started talking.
“When did you ask her, Bri?”
“A couple days ago. It really surprised her!”
“Yeah, I’m sure it would! What are ya’ll gonna do after we eat?”
“I dunno, probably go home since we have to leave so early.”
“Cool.”
Then Becca and Leighanne came back and sat down.
“Did ya have fun in the bathroom?”
“Shut up, Carter.”
But Brian and Nick were in fits of laughter.
“They are so immature!” Becca said.
“Don’t you think that Justin Timberlake is SO hot?” Leighanne asked Becca.
“Oh my gosh…yes he is!”
Just then Brian and Nick immediately shut up and looked up at Leighanne and Becca, who were now in fits of laughter themselves.
“What?” Nick asked.
“Him?” Brian chimed in.
“OMG did you see their faces?” Becca asked.
“They bought it all!”
“Hey! That’s not nice!” Brian said.
“Awww…poor little baby!” Leighanne said.
“You like him more that ME?! But I’m so irresistible!” Nick said, jokingly.
“You are? Well, sorry to break it to ya, but I have a date with him tomorrow!”
Then Nick used his trick, that got all the girls.
“Not the puppy dog eyes!!!” Becca said.
“Why not?”
“Because they are so….cute!”
“Alright guys, we’re gonna go. You kids go home and behave! **wink**. Nah, I’m just kiddin. We’ll see ya in the morning,” Brian said.
“Yeah, we’re going too. Bye!”
