"Hannah must have slept in." he mumbled to himself as he got out of bed.
He walked to her room and went in. He shut off the alarm clock and sat down on her bed next to her. He shook her lightly, and she pulled back the covers and looked horrible.
"Nick, will you look in the address book and call my work for me? Just tell them I'm staying home." she said hoarsely.
Nick went and called, then went back into the room.
"Hannah, I'm really sorry about everything I have done and said. I don't want you to move out."
She managed a smile and coughed a little bit.
"I'm sorry too, and if you want me to, I will stay."
Nick smiled then he looked like he was worried.
"Are you okay? Your not looking so good." he said gently.
"Gee, thanks Nick." she said laughing lightly, "Actually, I think I am really sick."
Nick frowned and looked like he was thinking.
"I'll be back in about a half hour." he said getting up and going into his room to change.
And as he said, 35 minutes later, Nick opened Hannah's door and his arms were full of bags.
She giggled at him trying to juggle everything, "What is all that?"
"Well, I figured you'll probably be in bed for a few days. So I picked up a few things." he said.
She smiled as he sat down.
"Movies. One comedy, one drama, one romance, one horror." he said pulling them out.
"Popcorn, chips, soda, candy and all the junk food you could need."
He leaned over and opened another bag.
"Nyquil, Tylenol, cough drops, tissues, soup, popsicles and vick's vapor rub."
"Oh, and the latest issue of Cosmo." he added.
"Aww Nick that is so sweet. How much do I owe you?" she asked through a cough.
"Nothing, I wanted to buy all of this for you."
Hannah felt flat out shocked by Nick's change of heart.
"Thanks so much, I really appreciate all of this." she smiled warmly.
Nick shrugged modestly, "It's the least I could do."
He got up and was putting away all of the food in the kitchen when Hannah called his name from her room. He showed up at her door a minute later.
She held up Cosmo, "Hurry up and we can quiz you on what your perfect shade of lipstick is." she giggled.
