Chapter 1

"Baby come on over, tonight. We can make it alright. Take a piece of my heart and go from the start..."

Hannah sang to her radio as she drove down the busy New York street, looking for her new apartment she was moving in to.

Over on the other side of the city, Nick turned a corner and glanced the street over for the new apartment he rented.

He finally got there and he wiggled the keys into the apartment flat. The door opened and he walked in. He began looking around, trying to figure where he was going to be putting his things.

Hannah parked outside the apartment and walked in. A tall man walked out from one of the rooms.

"Oh, hi. Are you from the real estate agency?" she asked.

"No, this is my apartment, can I help you?" Nick asked.

"Your apartment? I think your mistaken, I just rented this apartment." Hannah said.

"You probably have the wrong address, I am moving in today."

"128 West Street." she recited.

Nick nodded, "Well they couldn't have rented the same place to two people, let me call the agency."

He took out his cell phone and punched in the number. He said hello, followed by a couple of yeah's and oh's, then he hung up.

"So what did they say?" she asked eagerly.

"They said while one of our paper's for rent were going through the process of finalizing, the other's were pending. So legally, this apartment is both of ours, and we have to figure it out between us." he reported.

Hannah sighed and thought how this could only happen to her.

"Alright, well I will help you move your stuff out." she said going to pick up a box.

"Me get my stuff out? I'm staying here, you are going to have to move out. I have been looking at this place for months!" Nick argued.

"Oh no, I am not moving out." she said crossing her arms across her chest.

"Neither am I." Nick pouted as he sat down on a box.

"Well what are we going to do? Live with each other?" she said rudely, "I don't even know your name."

"Nick. And yes, I guess we will have to live together since someone is stubborn." he said with an attitude.

"At least I'm not being a rude, spoiled, selfish jerk!" she said before storming out to her car.

Nick sighed and stood up.

"This is going to be a fun experience..." he muttered.
