"I like that version of hello." she smiled.
"I love you Julia, and I want us to be with only one another." Devon said looking into her eyes.
"What?!" Julia cried out.
"I love you." Devon said again.
They had only been dating about 3 weeks, and he was already saying he loved her? She thought of how when she was with him she loved spending time with him and she loved almost everything about him, so she must love him.
"I love you too." she said.
The minute the words came from her, she wondered if she should of said them? She wasn't someone who just said it to anyone, she needed to feel it. Other than when he was busy being jealous, she did love him.
After talking, kissing and just being together Julia headed home. Devon asked her to spend the night, but she said she had an early class the next day.
When Julia got to her room, Gabby, AJ and Brooke were sitting on the couch. AJ was sitting between Gabby and Brooke, and they were both crying over a sappy love story on TV.
"How lucky can you get?" Julia said finding the situation AJ was in funny.
"Thank god you are back! I have to get away from the movies we have been watching all night." AJ said jumping up from the couch.
He kissed Gabby goodbye then headed out the door. Julia sat down in AJ's place for a few minutes laughing over her friends crying over a Lifetime movie.
"Devon said I love you to me tonight." she blurted out.
Gabby flicked off the TV as Brooke shouted 'What?!'
"Well I was at Nick's and I called him up and he was upset. He was saying if I am sick or hurt, he will take care of me, not any other guy. So I went over there and he just said it out of nowhere." Julia confessed.
"It's only been a few weeks! Did you say it back?" Brooke asked.
"Um, yeah. I mean I do love spending time with him, and I love most things about him. So that means I love him, right?"
"Does Nick know?" Gabby asked.
"No, why would he?" Julia asked.
"Well, you guys are great friends." Brooke pointed out.
"I'll tell him." Julia protested.
"AJ and me have been dating for over 6 months, and he still hasn't said it. I mean did you mean it?" Gabby asked softly.
Julia thought for a minute.
"I don't know. I really don't want to think about it anymore, and I have psych class at 8am tomorrow, so I am going to bed. Goodnight girls." Julia said getting up and walking off to her room.
Gabby and Brooke did the same a few minutes later.
The next day, Brooke didn't have classes till noon, so she decided to go get food for the room. After she was finished she pulled up outside the dorm and opened the trunk. She felt someone standing behind her so she turned around to see Jack standing there.
"Let me help you with those." he said leaning forward to grab bags.
"I can handle it." she said coldly, "What are you doing here?"
"What, a guy can't come say good morning to his girlfriend?" he said kissing her cheek.
"You really make me sick Jack, you know that? I am not your girlfriend, never will be again. You cheated on me. Twice. Then told me I was worth nothing. So, get a clue and get the hell out of here." she said before curtly turning and walking into the dorm.
A smile of satisfaction spread across her face because she finally told him how she felt. Just as she opened the door the phone rang. She put the bags on the table and picked up the phone.
"Hello?" she answered.
"Hey, it's Brian."
"Oh hi. I was just coming from an abrupt meeting with Jack."
"You ok?" he said with a hint of concern in his voice.
"Yeah, I just told him off once and for all." she beamed.
"Good. Do you wanna come over?" he asked.
"Sure. I will be over soon." she said before hanging up the phone.
Within 20 minutes she was in Brian's kitchen making sandwiches with him. They were just about finished when Brian turned to her.
"Brooke there is, uh, something I have wanted to do for a while now." he said.
She noticed he was fidgeting.
"Yeah?" she asked.
The next thing she new his lips were softly brushing against hers. He pulled away to see her reaction and she was smiling. Brooke pulled him in for another kiss and that's when she decided she would skip today's class.
