"I think so." she said as her mother locked the door and went to the car.

As they started to drive away from her house, a dozen thoughts rushed to her.

College. She couldn't believe she was on her way there. She was fresh out of high school, but she had her mind set. But now questions flooded her mind. Was she too young? Would she fit in? Would her roommates like her? What if she didn't like the college?

"Everything will be fine. You'll see once we get there." her mother reassured her.

She must have sensed how nervous Julia really was.

After driving two hours, they got to the college and parked across the street. Julia got out, and got her two luggage cases and her big bag from the trunk. Her mother grabbed the 3 boxes and shut the trunk.

Inside the college Julia went up to the main desk.

"Hi, I am a new student here, could you tell me my room number?" she asked.

"What's your name?"

"Julia Anderson."

"Room 56B, welcome to college." the woman said kindly.

Julia thanked her and guided her mother down one of the long hallways. When they got to the room, there was a little wipe off message board, with a note on it, on the door.

Julia smiled at the warm welcome and went into the room. She plopped her bags down on the empty bed and turned towards her mother.

"I will miss you and dad."

"We will miss you too. But you have the home phone number, and I have your cell phone number. We can talk whenever you want. But I think I should leave, to let you get settled and all. I love you." her mother said tightly embracing her.

"I love you too Mom. Tell dad I love him."

"I will and have fun. Call me later." her mother said before leaving.

"Bye Mom."

"Bye."

The door closed and Julia sat down on her bed for a minute. She looked around the room and then got to unpacking. Around 3:30 PM, she was just finishing putting the last things away, when she heard talking and laughter in the hall. Suddenly, the door opened and two girls walked in. The both stopped when they saw Julia.

"Hi! I am Brooke. It is nice to meet you finally." one of the girls said. She was average height, with short blonde hair and a little girl look to her.

"Welcome to our little cozy home. I am Gabriella, but people call me Gabby." the other girl said. She was a little taller than Brooke, with long wavy strawberry blonde hair. She seemed a little more wild and spontaneous.

"Hi, I'm Julia. I put all my stuff away, but I can move anything if you need me too." she said shyly.

Brooke smiled kindly.

"I know you are nervous, I mean I was a nervous wreck when I started her two semesters ago. But we want you to feel at home, cause I know we are going to all become great friends."

"Thank you." Julia said starting to feel better.

"Yeah, you'll love it here. But I have one question..." Gabby said.

"Yeah?" Julia replied.

"You don't snore...do you?"

All three girls started laughing together. And Julia knew everything would be more than fine.
