"Hayley? You here?" yelled that just as she came out of the garage.
''Oh hi'' he said, ''Sorry I am early, I figured I could help you if you needed any help.''
''Nope, I just finished up! Wanna go over to Nick's early?'' Hayley asked.
''Sure'' he replied.
They got in his car, and headed towards Nick's house.
When they got to there, Hayley rang the doorbell. Inside, Nick heard the doorbell and his stomache did a flip flop, he knew it was Hayley. He was planning on instead of playing video games, he was going to tell her how he felt. He walked over to the door and opened it.
''Hey Frack! Ready for a night of games?'' Brian said as he brushed by Nick into the house.
Nick stared blankly at Hayley.
''I figured Brian can give you a better fight in the games!'' she said.
''Oh, come in.'' Nick said, a little upset.
''B-Rok, come here for a second.'' Nick said. Brian walked over to Nick, and he followed him to the kitchen.
''What are you doing here?'' Nick whispered.
''Hayley, invited me over, Why?'' Brian replied.
''I um, well I, uh...'' Nick mumbled.
''Well, why?'' Brian asked.
''I like Hayley.'' Nick said.
''Yeah, that's sort of a given, considering you're friends.'' Brian laughed.
''No, I mean I have feelings for her.'' Nick said.
''Oh I see. So is this a joke or what?'' Brian said.
''No, for real, I like her and tonight I wanted to tell her. But I don't think that is gonna happen with you sitting between us on the couch.'' Nick said.
''Then I'll leave-'' Brian replied.
''No! You can't just suddenly leave, she will know something is up.'' Nick spurted out.
''Alright, I will go and sit there for a couple minutes and say I forgot I had plans. You better calm down though'' Brian said as he walked back towards Hayley.
Nick followed behind him.
''Um, is something going on?'' Hayley asked.
''No I had to talk to Nick about a practice we have tomorrow morning.'' Brain said.
They started the video game and about 5 minutes into it Brian said, ''Oh man! I forgot I have to visit one of my parent's friends tonight. I'm sorry I gotta go.'' Brian said.
''Oh okay, see you later'' Nick said.
''Bye'' Hayley said.
Why did Brian leave so suddenly, she thought. Her heart skipped a beat just thinking about having the night alone with Nick.
