Nicole walked off the tour bus and Hayley went to her bunk.
She grabbed her suitcase from under the bunk and went into the bathroom to grab her other necessities. She walked out of the bathroom, with her hands full.
She looked up and there he was.
Nick.
The last person she wanted to see.
"Here, let me help you with that." Nick said leaning forward to help her.
She snapped back and said meanly, "You've already done enough."
Nick swallowed hard at her comment, trying not to let any tears out. Hayley pushed past him and dumped the stuff down into the suitcase. She was all packed and ready to head home.
She zippered the suitcase, knowing Nick was just watching. "Well, this is the last time you will be seeing me, so I hope you and Nicole have a wonderful relationship." she said trying not to cry, from the pain of being mean to someone she still loved.
She started walking towards the door.
"Wait!" Nick yelled out.
Hayley put her suitcase down and turned around. "Not for you." she said hatefully.
She was about to turn around to leave, when Nick grabbed her arm and pulled her back to him. "Let go of me!" she screamed.
"Hayley! Calm down I just want to talk!" he screamed.
"I have nothing to say to you!" she said trying to get away from his grip.
"Maybe you don't but I have plenty to say to you." he said.
"Fine, you have 10 minutes" Hayley said.
"Can we go somewhere, were no one will walk in on us?" he asked.
"You must have learned that lesson with Nicole." Hayley said.
Nick couldn't believe how hateful Hayley was being when she didn't even know what happened. "Just come with me." Nick said as he and Hayley walked outside together.
Nick lead her down a flight of stairs behind the hotel. Behind the hotel was a beautiful harbor full of boats and fishermen. Hayley thought how romantic it would have been in other circumstances.
They sat down next to each other and Hayley moved over so they were farther away.
"Okay yesterday, you came into the tour bus and saw me and Nicole, in what seemed like a bad way. What it really was, was this. Nicole wanted to talk to me, because I am Bri's best friend. And you know how they like each other and everything. Well, we started talking about how much she likes Brian but she is overwhelmed with the tour and she doesn't know if he just wants to date on tour. So when she was talking about all of this, she started crying. And like I would to any friend of mine or yours, or any one of the guys, I hugged her. And she kept crying until she fell asleep. I didn't want to move her, so while I was sitting there, with her still wrapped in my arms, in a hug, I fell asleep. That is the truth. And Hayley last night when I saw you crying it just made me-" Nick stopped and put his head down to take a deep breath.
He looked back up at her, with tears in his eyes.
"Hayley, I would never hurt you in any way. And the thought of losing you, makes me want to die. So please, please understand and forgive me."
Hayley took all of this in, and she felt sick. Not because of Nick, or anyone else, but because of herself. She was so mean and hateful to Nick before even letting him say what happened.
She just sat there silently.
