''No kiss?'' he asked.
''You don't think you can get one that easy do you?" she laughed.
He took a step back as to let her in, and as she was walking by he grabbed her arm, and spinned her around to face him. He bent down a little and kissed her sweetly on the lips.
Hayley giggled, ''You are one of a kind Nick Carter.'' she smiled.
He was so happy, and then that sinking feeling came to his stomach. He was thinking about not seeing her, hearing her laugh, kissing her and just being with her.
''If one kiss makes you that speechless, then after all these years I finally know how to make you shut up!'' she joked.
''Ha, ha, very funny.'' he smiled, as he wrapped his arm around her waist and lead her towards the couch. They sat down, Nick with one leg under him, and Hayley crossed legged.
''Where is everyone?'' Hayley wondered considering there is always at least one Carter home.
A smile spread across Nick's face.
''They are all on vacation! So, we have the whole house to ourselves.'' Nick said with a mischievous look upon his face.
''In your dreams Nick.'' she laughed at him, as he made a puppy dog face.
He leaned in to give her another kiss but she placed her finger on his lips.
''Wait a second Casanova! Don't you want to talk at all? Not just kiss?'' she asked, already knowing the smart ass response she would get.
''Well...'' he said with a grin.
She just gave him a look. But then he got really quiet.
''What's wrong?'' she asked.
''Well, before you came over, AJ stopped by to tell me some news.'' he hesitated a moment.
''We are going on tour in two weeks.'' he said.
Hayley felt a wave of sickness pass over her when she realized he would be gone.
She put on a fake smile, ''That's great Nick, hope you have fun.''
''Hayley, I know you too well, you don't have to pretend to be happy.''
And once he said that, her smile faded.
