Emma looked over toward her desperate friend, "Why can't we stay here, at your house, and have everyone come over?" she asked, "that place is boring."
She was talking about The Chen, a local club they have gone to for a couple of years.
"Well, everyone else is going and you'll miss out on the fun." Hayley retaliated.
Emma mumbled something to herself.
''What are you mumbling?'' Hayley asked.
''I said okay I will go this one last time.'' she said immediately wishing she hadn't.
''Oh thank you, thank you, thank you! Now I know why I keep ya around!'' Hayley hugged her friend and said, ''now, go get dressed quickly!''
Emma was running up the stairs when AJ pulled in the driveway and beeped his horn.
Hayley sighed to herself, ''Such class.'', making fun of AJ.
''Are you ladies ready?'' he asked.
Hayley stepped outside and looked over to her friend. ''Where are the rest of the guys?'' she asked while walking over to him.
''Oh they are meeting us there.'' He said walking over to her and giving her a big hug.
''I have missed you and Em, where is that girl?'' he said peeking inside the house.
''Oh ya know we are never ready on time.'' she replied laughing.
Just as she was about to call for Emma, she came trotting down the stairs.
''Hey babe, looking good'' he said as he walked over and hugged her.
''Not looking so bad yourself!'' Emma said back.
They always flirted yet neither took it seriously. They had all been friends for years. Hayley, Emma, AJ, Nick, Brian, Howie and Kevin. Hayley, Emma, AJ and Howie had known each other since 5th grade. Then when the guys started their singing group Hayley and Emma met Nick, Brian and Kevin. They had been friends ever since. They all stood there for a second.
''Come on we're gonna be late!'' Hayley said.
The three friends walked over to the car, got in and headed towards The Chen.
