"No! He's my boyfriend!" Leigh yelled into the phone to Anna, the next day.
"Oh my god, really? I'm so happy for you!" Anna said, thoroughly excited.
"Thanks. I mean, if it wasn't for you, I would never have given Nick a chance." Leigh smiled.
"Yeah. I know I rock..." Anna said kiddingly.
Then she added, "Hold on, I have a beep."
Leigh heard the phone click and about 3 minutes later, Anna clicked back.
"That was Brian. And I know something you don't know!" Anna sang.
"What?" Leigh exclaimed.
"Oh, just a surprise, from Nick." Anna teased.
"I am going to call him. Why don't you come over?" Leigh asked.
Anna said she would come over, and they hung up. A few minutes later, Leigh was on the phone with Nick.
"So what's this surprise I am hearing about?" she asked.
"Man, Anna's mouth is big." Nick sighed.
Leigh laughed a little.
"Well?" she bugged him.
"You'll find out..." Nick said teasing her.
Leigh's front door opened and Anna walked in and smiled.
"Nick, I am sorry to be rude, but I gotta go. Will you call me later?" she asked holding up a finger to Anna, to motion one minute.
"Why don't you come over later?" he asked.
"Okay, I'll be over around 8. Bye." she said hanging up.
Leigh complained to Anna how Nick wouldn't tell her what the surprise was.
"Sorry my lips are sealed." Anna laughed.
Leigh said she was going to tease Nick a little tonight, to get the answer out of him.
The girls went shopping, then out to lunch. They were in the middle of eating when Leigh blurted out, "We need to get you a boyfriend."
Anna stopped eating, "What?!" she said.
"Well, we need to get you a boyfriend so we can double date and stuff. And so you aren't lonely." Leigh replied.
"I'm not lonely! But, I do kind of have some feelings for someone. I am okay single though." Anna said starting to eat her lunch again.
"Who?" Leigh asked.
"Well, it's not really feelings. I mean, we are only friends. But Kevin is okay." she answered.
"Kevin? As in, Kevin, Brian's cousin?" Leigh asked astonished.
"Yeah, he's a nice guy." Anna said casually.
"That wasn't who I thought you'd say." Leigh said taking a sip from her drink.
"Who did you think?" Anna wondered.
"Truthfully, Brian. I have always thought you two liked each other." Leigh replied.
"What?" Anna blurted out.
Leigh just shrugged her shoulders and went back to eating. Then Anna's mind started to wander.
