18/12/01...New drummer. It's not much of a secret but after a brief parting autolight are now back together with their old drummer, Alan (c)wilson. Alan used to play in the band before he trotted off around the world. but now he back in his rightful place. Tom has now regretfully left the band the band to persue a career in stand up comedy.we wish them both the best. 18/12/01...the song autumn magic is now available to buy on an awkward records compilation disc also featuring local notables baxxter, mocca and the ace ogs bunkadoo band amongst others. its available to buy at tokyo lucky hole and hopefully other places. 18/12/01...Radio 1 Sound City. Autolight didn't get round to doing this one. 09/10/01... Update. The trocadero and the gig at the Jug were cancelled because of marriages and floods. However the gigs we played with Copter and at the Tokyo Lucky Hole were unbelievably succesfull. Thanks to those who shared the days. 22/08/01... surf psychadelic pop collaboration been and gone... Autolight played an impromptu gig with shocked elevator family and Jinja last saturday at Scruffy Murphys. It rocked. Also the end of the night saw a drunken collaboration featuring members of Autolight, Distophia, the Reverends and Shocked elevator Family. You had to be there... 13/08/01... A Splendid afternoon!!... Despite the weather the day was a good one. Thanks go to Arthur Tapp and all the organisers of the day and everyone who came. Of the other bands mistys big adventures weird ass backward jazz music shone out as did Jameson and of course the mighty Copter. 13/08/01... battle of the bands... We didn't do very well. 05/08/01...LOFI alldayer A belated thanks to everyone who came and supported us. It wasn't our best ever gig, but it had a good atmosphere. Anyway the gig is being repeated on Sept 1 with different bands, so anyone who wants to play should speak to Rob at Wagdog Records. 08/06/2001...turnip farm release The details are not yet finalised, but the latest news from the turnip farm HQ is that the release has been changed to being a split single featuring autolight and distophia.
