A Bad First Impession...Chapter 2

“Now Brian, be nice. I’m leaving cause I got to. I will be back though. The new guard is well trained to serve and protect you.” Q explained to Brian at the airport.

“So what? We pick him up then drop you off. Is it just me or does this suck? You have always guarded me and now all of a sudden we have to have this new guy come in and do the job. This sucks. Why can’t you at least wait until after the Super bowl? Would it be so hard.” Brian questioned.

“Because I need to go now. Just please be nice to the new guard. Don’t get Nick to help you pull a prank the first day. At least wait until he has been here awhile. And pull that cap down and sit down. If someone sees you we are going to be in trouble.” Q told Brian.

Brian did as her was told and sat in the closest empty seat to wait for the plane. “So what’s this guy’s game?” Brian adjusted his hat.

“I know he’s young but very ambiguous guard. He has been trained to fight since age two. He hasn’t been in any trouble with the law and he gets the job done.” Q described.

“Yeah, yeah, yeah. What’s his name?”

“Honestly I’m not sure.”

“Well that’s great to know. I can just see how well he was checked out. How can you check someone out without knowing their name. That’s impossible. But I guess you know what you are doing so I am going to trust you.” Brian stood up. “Can I walk around? I have a lot of energy. I’ll stay right here where you can see me.”

“Yeah sure Rok. Just stay within this vicinity.” Q watched Brian walk away. Q didn’t partially like the idea of Brian walking around but like the boy said he had lots of energy in him If he was to sit still, he would be antsy and draw more attention to himself.

“Flight 908 from Washington DC now arriving in gate 97A.” the announcer announced over the loud speaker.

“That’s him” Q stood up. He made sure to put on his cap. That was the way they were going to recognized each other. Q was wearing a hat with the letter Q on it and he was wearing a Washington Redskins cap.

Brian was walking around in front of the door for the passengers unloading to exit. A few passengers were beginning to exit out of that door, so he thought he would get out of the way before he got in someone way. In getting out of the way, he bumped into someone. He really didn’t mean to snap at them he just kinda did. “Watch were you going, why don’t you?”

“You’re to one who bumped into me. You should watch where you are going and who you are talking to.” The woman snapped back at Brian.

“Excuse me. I don’t know who you think you are but you need to get over yourself. You need to realize that you are no one important.” Brian remarked snottily. This really wasn’t in his nature to act like this but something in her voice just pushed his buttons the wrong way.

“Oh and you are? Let me guess. You are one of those conceited asses who is so full of himself it is really quite sad. And everyone should bow down to your superior self. Well here’s a reality check. Not everyone will bow down to you. Myself included.” The woman brushed her hair out of her face.

“Yeah whatever. I don’t want you to bow down. In fact if I never see you again it won’t be long enough. And with that note and am going to leave so I don’t ever have to see you again.” Brian turned one way and the young lady turned the other way. Brian found Q waiting still. Brian watched the young lady out of the corner of his eye, walk away the shake her hair as she stopped. Brian then sat down and focused his attention else where.

Sam was hyped about coming out to Florida after she thought about it during her work out. Now, on the other hand, she was pissed. She had a bad interaction with someone getting off the plane. Now she had to turn around and pray that she didn’t see that asshole that she had had the bad interaction with. All she had to do was avoid that jerk. She was looking for a guy wearing a cap with the letter Q on it. She pulled her hair up and put on her Washington hat. This is another thing Johnny had told to be sure to wear. She looked around and saw a fellow standing alone wearing a cap. She slowly walked over to him. He was a lot taller than her so she tapped his shoulder.

Q looked down on someone wearing a Redskins hat. He really couldn’t see him because he wasn’t much taller than Brian. “Yeah. Can I help you?” Q said rather loudly cause of the noise of the airport.

“Yeah. I think I am going to be your replacement for a while. I’m Sam. She held her hand out.

Q shook his hand. ‘Nice firm grip,’ he thought. He really couldn’t hear him though due to the airport noise. He did make out that his name was Sam though. “Okay Sam let’s go. Brian, get up. We are leaving. The limo is outside waiting for us.” Q said. Brian got up and walked in front of the two.

Samantha followed Q to a limo awaiting in the outside parking lot. “We are going to ride to the hotel. It isn’t far.” Q opened the door for Brian and Sam. Brian climbed in first. Sam stuffed her bags in ahead of her then climbed in followed by Q.

“Q? I thought you said you were catching a flight out.” Brian said.

“I lied. Didn’t want you to get to excited there. I am going to attend the bowl with you then catch the flight to Philly and then catch a flight out of that airport.” Q explained. Q glanced over at Sam. Now that Q could see him at eye level, he didn’t look like a he at all. ‘He’ took off his hat.

“No possible way. You got a chick to do your job, Q?” Brian looked more closely. “And you got a bitchy chick at that.”

“YOU!! No way you are Brian. Please tell me you aren’t Brian. You’re…you’re a jerk.” Sam shook her head in disbelief. Here sat in front of her was the conceited ass from the airport.

“Um…there must be some kind of mistake. You can’t be Brian’s new bodyguard.” Q remarked.

“Why? Cause I’m a woman. News flash. I am more then qualified for this job. And just because Brian’s a guy doesn’t mean a woman can’t protect him.” Sam said matter of factly. “And once we do get to the hotel I have some things I need to discuss with you privately.”

“Yeah. I am pretty sure there are some things we need to discuss.” Q agreed.

They rode in silence for the rest of the way. Sam was to the first to get out with her two bags over her shoulder after they stopped in the rear of the hotel. There were to many fans in the front of the hotel the enter though the front door. Brian then got out and quickly ran in before he could be spotted. Then Q. “We have a meeting in the conference room at eleven fifteen. That is in about fifteen minutes. Tell that time Brian, you can wait in your room and Sam and I can talk.”

“Great idea. Why don’t you take Brian up to his room and I’ll be in the gym waiting for you.” Sam turned to walk away.

“Do I really have to have her as a guard the entire time you are gone?” Brian asked as they began to walk towards the elevator.

“Yeah. Other then the days she has off. She was who was sent to us. I do admit the I, myself, was kinda shocked that they sent a woman to do the job. Let me tell you this Brian.” They walked into the elevator. “You don’t have to like her but you will give her respect. I know how hard this job can be. Don’t give her another reason for it to be harder. She is guarding your life. That is a reason all in it self to be nice. Be nice at least until I come back.” Q lectured.

“And when will that be.” They walked off the elevator.

“I am not sure but do behave. Are you going to your room or are you going to go to Nick’s?”

”Nick’s I gotta talk to him about this one.” Brian walked over to Nick’s door and tapped on it.

“Yo wassup B.” Nick opened his door. “Where’s your new guard?” Nick looked around. “Is he paying hide and seek? And what are you still doing here Q? I thought you were leaving?”

“No I am going to stick with you until tonight when we get to Philly. Brian, stay here until it is time for us to meet. I am going to talk with Sam.” Q walked away.

“So that’s your new guard’s name. Sam.” Nick and Brian walked into his room. “That cool. You like him. Is he like really strict? Tell me.” Nick plopped down on his bed.

“Well, HE is a jerk. I can’t believe that Q is honestly going to leave me with him for God knows how long. Why does it have to be my luck? Why can’t your guard be called away and you be stuck with HIM? This stinks.” Brian complained.

“Rok, what are you complaining about? You have a great life style. You are BRIAN LITTREL of THE Backstreet Boys. How many people in your position would be crying. Oh my…I am so going to shut up. I am sounding like I know what I am talking about there. When in reality I have no idea and I am not the person to be giving out advice. If you need advice talk to Kevin.” Nick quieted down.

“Yeah. For a second you kinda sounded smart. That is a first. But I’ll let it slide. So are you going down to the meeting or not?” Brian questioned.

“Yeah. In fact it is just enough time to play a quick game of playstation then go down there.” Nick got up and turned the machine on. He tossed Brian a controller and took one himself. They played until Ryan, Nick’s guard, told them it was time to go downstairs for the meeting.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

“So who are you and exactly why did they send you?” Q questioned as he walked into the gym to see Sam, who at the moment was punching the punching bag.

“The name is Agent Samantha Bosque. But people around here will call me Samantha Johnson. You will be the only one who will know my true name and I would like to keep it that way. And as to why I was sent, you probably have a better guess then I do. If it had been left up to me I would have stayed in DC.” Sam stopped hitting the bag and walked over to her duffle bag and pulled out her assignment folder. “Everything you need to know about me is in that folder.” She handed it to Q.

Q opened the folder and read over it real quick. They discussed a few more things until it was time for them to go to the conference room for the meeting in which they would be discussing Sam. A fact Samantha didn’t really like. They did walk quickly to the meeting though. When they walked in they were the last ones to arrive. Everyone was sitting in place awaiting their arrival and talking among themselves.

“Good Morning.” Q addressed everyone. “As you all know, I am going to be leaving for a little while and Brian will have a replacement guarding him. I expect you to treat the person that will be guarding Brian as you treat me. With respect. And with that note I would like to bring forth Samantha Johnson for you all to meet. Sam.” He motioned Sam to step forwards.

“No way. Brian gets a chick to guard him.” Nick replied when he saw Sam.

“Yeah. As you put it, this chick will be guarding him.” Sam said with an attitude as she crossed her arms over her chest.

“Whoa. It suddenly got cold in here.” Nick mumbled to Brian.

“Ignore Nick. He is usually always like that. Though sometimes he can be kinda cool.” Q told her.

A tall dark guy slid up beside her and introduced himself. “Hi. I am Kevin. Kevin Richardson. That over there is Nick Carter. You know Brian. Then besides Brian is A.J. McLean. And next to A.J. is Howie Dorough. But we call him D. And like Q said. Don’t mind Nick. He is like that sometimes.”

“Thanks for the introductions and advice. So are you and the others part of the band or crew? Cause I notice there is a lot of crew.” Sam remarked.

“We are part of the band. So are you coming to the Bowl with us? Or is Q going to?”

“Yeah. I am going to go. To bad I have to guard Brian though.” Sam complained.

“Why is it to bad? Brian isn’t a bad guy. He is probably one of the nicest in the group.”

“Well I know he is your friend and band mate and all, but that boy has some serious attitude problems. We didn’t exactly have the best of first meetings. But it’s all gravy. Suck it up and stick it out.” Sam semi-laughed.

“Well Brian is also my cousin. I’ve known him all his life, so that is a surprise to me. I’ll really have to talk to him about it. Well I better sit back down ‘fore Q starts jumping on my case. Good to meet you. Talk to you later.” Kevin walked away.

“Yeah good meeting you too.” Sam replied.
