"Hey! That was fast" Nick was kinda surprised that Jennifer got there so soon. He had just started to change his clothes so all he wore was a pair of baggies.
"Nice clothes!! But hey, I don't mind seeing your chubby belly" She gave him a light punch in his stomach.
"Aow, that hurt, and I'm not chubby!!! It's muscles!"
"Yeah, yeah whatever..."
" So what do you wanna do now?"
" I don't know, maybe do what we had in mind last night?"
"Yeah!! I'm gonna beat you so bad!" Jennifer could do nothing but laugh at his enthusiasm.
"I don't doubt you Carter. I've never played before so, it only would be natural."
"Oh.. right...but I'm the best anyway, I beat all the guys!!"
"Na ah, not me!!" Neither Jennifer nor Nick had noticed that Brian had entered the room and was standing behind the bed.
"Yes I do, you suck!" Nick's eyes lit up by all the excitement.
"Wanna prove it?"
"I don't need to prove it, cause you know it's true."
"Is it? Really? If it is, then you wouldn't mind showing it" Brian gave Nick a challenge he couldn't resist.
"You're on!" Nick jumped down by the TV and started to mess with the Nintendo.
"Hey! What about me then?" Jennifer who had been listening to the two boys, who were supposed to be grown ups, acting like to little kids, spoke up.
"Oh sorry, hun, but I have to take care of this...then B-Rok'll leave us alone."
" Oh well, I guess I'll just sit here on the bed and read the bible..."
" Come on, you can cheer for Brian he could use some support..."
" Oh, it's the big man talking, huh? But Ok I'll cheer for da bride and do you know what? I really think he'll beat you! Oh I got it!!"
"Thanx, Jenn-Jenn. And you got what?"
" I know what you said in that interview when I heard you say, this is B-rok da bride. You said this is B-rokster Bri!!" Jennifer was very pleased with herself she finally remembered it.
When Brian had beaten Nick with a whole lot of help from Jennifer, and Nick was done accusing Brian and Jennifer of cheating Brian said that he had a game of B-ball waiting for him at the gym, and left.
Jennifer went to sit on the bed. Nick came and sat down next to her.
"Jennifer, I know that I haven't known you very long but I have to do this, promise you won't hate me afterwards?"
"Why would I hate you? What are you gonna do?" Jennifer felt a bit awkward.
"Just promise will you?"
"Ok, I promise."
Nick leaned in close and kissed her soft and Jennifer went with the flow and kissed him back until she realized what she was doing and drew away.
"Wait, why did you do that? You have a girlfriend...Nick, and I'm still in love with Jim. I can't do this, it's not right."
"I'm sorry, but it's just that you are so beautiful and sweet and caring and funny and..."
"Nick stop it, you're embarrassing me!!"
"All I can say is that I don't regret it." Jennifer could see how Nick's face got a bit sadder than it had been. 'I've gotta talk to Kevin and find out why he has been so sad lately.'
"Nick, it's ok, just don't do it again, and what will Mandy say?"
" Um, I need to be alone for a while I'll see you at dinner, ok?" Why is he acting so weird? Jennifer's mind drifted away.
"Ok, but can you give me Kev's room number I need to talk to him. "
"Ok, but why you don't know him? " Nick looked so sad and confused, and Jennifer felt so bad for him.
"I need to ask him to sign something to my friend..." She felt bad about lying but she couldn't tell him why.
"Oh...it's 499 I think, or was that Howie's room? Well ask him if it's the wrong room."
" Ok, and Nick don't be sad, I'm not mad, I just can't do it right now."
"I know...bye" He closed the door behind her and went to lay on the bed."
