AJ was about to retreat to his hotel room when he passed by Lana's door and heard soft crying from inside. Hesitating, he wondered if he should go talk to her or just leave it be.

Lana heard a soft knock on her door and grinned, filled with anticipation, "What?" she whispered.
"Lanie, are you ok?"
She stood and opened the door, "Oh, hi AJ."
"You wanna talk about it?" he asked, referring to the tears rolling down her cheeks.
"It's just that --" she cut herself off with more sobs.
AJ pulled her into a hug, "It'll be all right Lanie. Whatever it is."
Lana looked up. She looked into those big brown eyes, then slowly learned forward and kissed him. The kiss was deep and passionate, and for a moment she thought she felt AJ kissing her back, but maybe, she decided as he pulled away, maybe it was just her imagination.
They stared at each other silently for a moment, then AJ said, "I have to go," and turned to leave.
"No," Lana cried, grabbing his shoulder, "Stay."

Jace burst into the room, "Hey, Lana, have you seen -" Jace froze unable to believe her eyes.
Lana jumped out of bed, "Jace, I -"
"Don't," Jace interrupted, "Just don't, Lana. I don't wanna hear it. You're just never satisfied, are you? Whenever something good happens to me you just gotta have a piece of it, don't you?" Jace stormed out before Lana got another chance to protest. She wrapped herself in a ball and began to cry, AJ still sleeping silently.
Apparently Jace must've talked to Brian because he stormed in just moments later, furious, "Lana how could you? You -- I thought you loved me."
"I do Brian, I really do, that's why I -"
Brian remembered what she had said the night before, "You planned this? I can't believe -- Lana how could you?" without giving her a chance to respond he stormed out, not wanting her to see the tears in his eyes.
Lana bit her lip, then looked down at AJ. She watched in silence for a few moments, then leaned over and kissed him on the cheek, "Now there's just one more heart to break."
