News Class Rules General Rules Schedule Purse Race Results Points Battle Registration Forum Links

All teams will conduct themselves in a professional manner. Participating teams will be representing the Texas Outlaw Bombers. We want to make it a point early that there will be teams not participating but keeping an eye on us to see how we conduct ourselves as a series. This will be a determining factor whether or not they choose to join us!

Texas Outlaw Bomber Supporter

Driver will not be eligible to run in TOB events if he is driving in another class the same night. We hope this keeps professional drivers from taking advantage of our series when we are running at the same track that evening and them taking advantage of our series.

1 Race Toss Out

Once the final points race is over, each team will have its worst points finish thrown out and the remaining points will go towards the final point standings. A teams worst points finish could also be a 0 points given due to not being at a race. Example: If we race 16 races then we will count your best 15 races toward points championship. If we only race a total of 10 races then we will add up your 9 best point finishes and so on.

Provisionals

Starting 2005 TOB will introduce provisional spots to the series. You must qualify to recieve the only one provisional that you can have for 2005. Once a driver has raced in his 6th race of the season he will be illegible to recieve (1) provisional that can be used at any of the remaining TOB races for the 2005 season. This obviously benefits the teams that normally run in the series. Once race #6 is completed we will start compiling who is illegible and who still has races to run before they are elligible. Only (1) per driver will be rewarded. A maximum of (2) provisionals will be approved to run in any one event. If we have more than 2 teams wanting to use their provisionals on the same night we will resort to the 2005 current point standings.

Fighting / Abuse / Language

Obviously racing makes for high emotions for not only for drivers but also their fans and crews. The TOB is made up of volunteers. These people even though they are involved in something that they love, they are still making a sacrifice in order to help promote and make the series a success. The TOB will stand behind all of these individuals and will not accept any excuse for any type of abuse towards them. Any type of disagreement will need to be handle by the driver only and be conducted with the Assistant Director. All disagreements will be a top priority and will be handled in a manner that is best for the TOB. Any competitor and crew involved in any type of altercation such as fighting, etc, the initiating team will forfeit all series points, forfeit any purse money pending and will no longer be a competitor in the TOB for the remainder of the year. Upon a competitors return, the Competition Committee will has discussed and voted their return to the association. With high emotions and controversy comes bad language. If an official of the TOB is verbally abused it will be the official who reserves the right to take a complaint to the Assistant Director. Upon determining the complaint is valid the team in question will immediately be placed on probation! The length of probation will be determined by the competition committee and team will be notified asap! Any violation while on probation will be considered again with the competition committee and be determined if team is still eligible to participate in remaining season.

Pit Passes and Entry Fees

Starting 2005 TOB will sell their own pit passes to all of the drivers, teams, fans, and supporters of the TOB series at each TOB event. Prices will be the same as the tracks pit passes for that night (normally $25). Each registered driver will recieve a TOB Pit Pass Card. This card will give the driver a free pit pass for every 10 pit passes purchased. This will reward all teams for participating in the series. the teams that purchase more pit passes will be rewarded sooner and more often with free pit passes. All teams must pay a $25 entry fee at each event which we refer to as the "purse enhancement fee".

Rain Out and Refunds

Because TOB is now responsible for refunds and the selling of pit passes we will follow the following proceedure.

All rained out events will not have a makeup date unless its the Allstar Race. We will keep that race rain makeup to be determined. Prior to the A Feature being started, if that night is a rainout TOB will refund all pit passes or you may choice to use them at the next race event. Its your choice. You must exchange the arm band for your pit pass money no exceptions or bring the arm band to the next event. We will monitor who purchases pit passes as long as recieves refunds on pit passes. Rained out arm bands will not carry over past the next event. If the feature has started and rain starts then TOB reserves the right to call the race official with no refunds. TOB will refund entry fee's if we do not complete heat races. Once heat races are complete then no entry fee money will be refunded even in the event of a rain out prior to A, B, or C Features being started. Once heat races have been completed we will count the heat race points earned even in the event of a rain out. This rewards those that did come but still got rained out. We hope our new changes benefits the series, drivers and tracks as we strive to stay on top!

Protest

All protest must be brought straight to the Competition Director. To qualify to be a protestor you must finish on the lead lap and have protest money in hand to present to Competition Director. Only drivers are eligible to present a protest, not owners, crew members, fans or even a rich uncle. Protest fees can be discussed with Competition Director and are listed on the web site. Only the protesting driver, the team being protested,Competition Director and Chief Stewart will be invited to a protest that involves tear down. This is not open to the public or other teams and will be enforced!

Race Program

Other than car count the next most important thing is the program itself! At the start of the afternoon we will have a drivers meeting either before or after the tracks drivers meeting! Part of each drivers meeting will be a drawing for heat race positions. If we have more than 24 cars then we will run a B Feature. B Feature will consist of total cars plus 4 laps, capping at 15 laps total. Main Event will consist of all teams that qualified through heat races and B feature with the B Feature qualifiers starting at the end of the lineup. All cars will lineup on the front straight in their qualifying position. All heat race winners will draw to determine their starting position. No driver will be allowed to exit his car while on the track without recieving emmidiate disqualification. Driver is allowed to enter the designated pit area of the infield and exit the car and reenter the race at anytime!

Qualifying

A driver must drive the car that he qualified in for the Feature event. A qualified driver that handsover their car to another driver in an attempt for him to qualify will forfeit his own qualified position in the Feature event. If a driver gets into a different car at any time he must requalify in the new car. Provisionals must use the car that they have already tried to qualify in. No driver can be illigible to run as a provisional if in a car that he has not attempted to qualify in that night. The two alternates that are in starting positions 25th and 26th will be allowed to go on the track for the Feature event. They will be introduced as alternates and will be allowed to take the green flag. These two drivers will be told of their special rules. They must tag at least 10 car lengths behind the closest feature qualifier. This will allow them to take advantage of any car that drops out of the race on the pace lap! If all 24 cars take the green flag then both cars will receive black flags for them to turn off into the infield as non competitors of this event. If one car does drop out then I will waive the 1st alternate by and the 2nd alternate will receive the black flag as a non competitor.

Starts and Restarts

All cars must be nose to tail, bumper to bumper, no laying back or sand bagging! This will be heavily enforced!!! The race starts upon green flag waiving from flag man. On the starts of all TOB Features the TOBA NO PASS RULE will be inaffect. This means on the first lap of the feature no passing is allowed in turns one and two, once he make the back straight away you are allowed to compete. This is to keep first lap pile ups to a minimum. All cautions (yellow plags) mean not only slow down but hold your position. Do Not pass during cautions. Please allow TOB officials to work with track officials to determine restart lineups. All on track calls will be done by TOB officials such as rough driving, jump starts, or other race proceedure rule infractions. If placed in improper restart position please pull to designated track spot to ask for a position check by TOB officials. We will do everything that we can without holding up the race program. At some point we must get the racing back to green.

Bonus Money

Previous race feature winner will be called this weeks "Big Dog". Each race will have a big dog and he is eligible to win Big Dog Bonus Money! An extra $50 will be set aside incase we have a back to back feature winner! With the extra incentive of Bonus Money the Big Dog will be mandated to start behind the first and second place qualifiers of each heat race. The Big Dog will still be required to qualify normally.

Top 5 cars will be notified before leaving the track and directed to tech. Top 5 drivers will go to trophy presentation, then tech.

Lets all go racing and have some fun!!!
