What lies behind us and what lies before
us are small matters
compared to what lies within us.
First they ignore you, then they laugh at you,
then they fight
you, then you win.
Keep away
from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do
that, but the really great ones make you feel that you too, can become
great.
Finish each day
and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and
absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a
new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense.

The human heart feels things the eyes cannot see,
and knows what the
mind cannot understand.
When you reach for the stars, you may not quite get them,

It seems to me we can never give up longing and wishing while we are thoroughly alive. There are certain things we feel to be beautiful and good,
and we must hunger
after them.
We are not powerless specks of dust drifting around in the wind, blown by random destiny. We are, each of us, like beautiful snowflakes -
unique, and born
for a specific reason and purpose.
I never saw an ugly thing in my life: for let the form of an object be
what it may, -
light, shade, and perspective will always make it beautiful
