All points shared for this
division two clash!
The AFC should have left Bickenhill lane with all points. The manager
and Captain were whisked away 15 minutes into the second half, comfortable,
knowing that they were walking away with a 2-1 lead and a very one-sided
game. News came through to them whilst at dinner that City had equalized
and a share of the spoils. Mills who had announced that he was leaving
the club for pastures new at Birmingham City dropped Nick right
in it as Jason was banned.
Kitey volunteered to go between the sticks, until, as luck would
have it, the new signing James preferred position was in goal. After
15 minutes Richmond was stretched off and the changes could be made
as Kitey had just given away a penalty and yes just like a book
Rowood went 1-0 down. Kitey was moved into midfield and Rowood got
on top of their game, Jingles was denied a thunder bolt which clearly
went over the line off the cross bar. Even the City keeper after
the match was quoted as saying, “ yes it was a goal”
. Paul made up for an earlier miss by cracking home a great solo
effort on 16 minutes to level. Jamie Jingles put The AFC in front
on 35 minutes and celebrated in a very unusual style!
