Currently, we have four vehicles that serve our community. We have three ambulances and a rescue truck primarily used for vehicle extrication. In Salem County, ambulances are designated, first, by their district (Woodstown is District 12), and then an 8 to signify that it is an ambulance. Rescues are designated by their district and then a 9. If there are more than one particular unit in a district, then a letter is added at the end. Since the Woodstown-Pilesgrove area is served by three ambulances, we have 12-8, 12-8A, 12-8B, and of course, the rescue is 12-9.
