- The annual
subscription for membership will be £12. This will cover all
administration
costs, including the conditions leaflet and this website,
acceptance slips, running
handicap lists, starting-time lists and
location maps and any other paraphernalia
which seems relevant at the
time.
- The fee for any
competition you may wish to enter MUST be paid by the notified
closing
date, which can be found in the annual leaflet or on the site. If you
have
not paid by the closing date (10 days before the date of the
competition)
it will be assumed that you either cannot play
or do not wish to play in that
event. The 10-day interval allows the
committee to prepare and distribute starting
lists in good time, allows
the golf clubs to allocate a spread of tee times and, where
appropriate,
to prepare for catering.
- Procedure for entering a competition
a) Entry slips
will be distributed at an event for the following venue.
b) Those entry slips which have not been collected will be
placed in the Society Tray at the King Billy for collection.
c) A notice informing members that entry slips have been
placed in the Tray will be placed on the pillar, covering the pseudo
olde worlde graffiti, opposite the entrance to the main bar.
d) Any entry slips which have not been collected one week
before the closing date for entry will be posted. This represents an
expense which, in a number of cases, can easily be avoided.
The only exception to item (ii) may be made where groups are
imbalanced e.g. a group of two playing in a 3-ball individual or team
event. Under these circumstances a late entrant will be permitted to enter
an event at the discretion of the organiser.
