Folk Knowledge

The Dancer Upstairs is a gorgeous film. Directed by John Malkovich, who is a prig, a pompous pseudo intellectual, and a fool (evidence: any dvd directors commentary involving this arsehole), it is accidentally a lovely slow story about a policeman tailing a terrorist for ten years in Peru, starring the beautifully arranged Javier Bardem.
My favourite line is Javier's strangely out of place comment: "they say that if you draw a map of everywhere you have ever been, you will see a picture of your face."

How lovely.
Yeah, that's right, I tried it.

So. My map is clearly a picture of a sphincter. Ah.

Well it clearly depends on the map projection;-)

Just to show off, or humilitate myself by getting it all wrong are you using an equal area conic? All I can tell for sure is that you are not using the evil Mercator:-) Perhaps an Azimuthal would give more pleasing results. he he

Hmm well mine would just be a tiny scribble on the map. Your's appears to be some great modern art masterpiece. That, or squashed bug guts on monitor screen... Killed any spiders, lately?
