Days Gone By

As ever, I shall shamelessly rip a good idea from another blogger's talons; Emma Swords (or Emma's Words - I prefer the swords image - better visuals) had the idea of doing a creme de la creme round-up of one's best posts from the previous year.
Of course, I only started blogging in July, and at least the first three months of posts were unadulterated shite, but here, for you edifica-- oh, okay, stultification - are the ones I really enjoyed writing - my own personal on-site Blorgy-Fest:
Busy Busy Busy
48 Hours
Details, Details
Do I Know You?
God takes the Central Lone
Fractured Femur
Drinks Menu
Sixty Things
Why The Big Read Sucks
London Fog
Ignis Fatuus
How to Be a Cat
Cancel Christmas
Fucked #1
Fucked #8
Fucked #10
Tea at the Ritz
PS. Don't nawbody bother telling me how arrogant, self-obsessed and megalo maniacal this post was, noway, nohow; I don't even care. It's a blog, dammit - narcissism is endemic to the genre.

...actually I was reading somewhere (on t'internet) the rules to good blogging and rule 3 (or 4) was have links to some of your best stuff...if people drift in to your site there is a chance that your bestest post isn't at the top of the page, so it suggested that you have links to the stuff you think *is* your best :^)...
..I will take some time and go back and read those you have chosen - I will avoid the lidl post though, it's too close to how I spend my days :^(...

Oh god, angelfire's links bars are so meandering and difficult to edit that doing that would literally take days and days. They'll just have to wander out again, muttering 'wilt thou leave me so unsatisfied' (as you do...) - honestly, who's this blogging lark for, anyway? Me or them?! ;-)

This would make a great sig!

(Not only is narcissism endemic to genre, it's an epidemic within it.)

Quite! Although it's terribly unfashionable to admit it. You're supposed to feign ignorance, then hang up your hat and abandon your blog upon its horrific discovery.

What's wrong with a little introspection and narcissistic navel-gazing, I say?!

For me it was pretty much like this: I started to write a boring list of the big goings on of the year, when I realised, that hell, I'd wrote on them at the time already, so why just not the links.

And yeah, it's a blog dammit!

did I already comment this and was deleted? Did I press the wrong button? did i only think about commenting? I think I'm losing the plot a bit. Need sleep.

Anyway, your blog makes me laugh and self absorbtion is fine. Kinda the name of the game with regard to blogging really.

I didn't know narcissism was contagious!

I dunno. The comments on my page where you portrayed an image of me leading a service to a quiet graveyard had me laughing at strange almost psychotic moments.

Narcissim rules but Narcissi look better

How many times have you been referred to as slightly maniacal, eh, Legomen? ;-)

Thanks for commenting, Emma - I've been really enjoying your blog, but haven't broken ranks and commented there yet.
I want to forget about the main goings on of the year - either that or they're too x-rated (as in confidential) to be blogging about them, so I thought I'd rip your idea off but just do whatever posts I liked.

Yes, and if you comment on someone's blog, you've just infected them with it, too.

Self-absorption - that was the phrase I was searching for. Thanks.

You're forced to preview comments, then post them, so you need to submit them twice. If you click away after you press 'continue' the first time, you've only previewed it, and it won't post the damn thing.
Angelfire. Arcane.
