<BGSOUND SRC="https://www.angelfire.com/blog/macsian/dontforgettoremember.mid" LOOP=INFINITE> While in Malacca for the Chinese New Year 2005, I decided to visit our alma mater. My last visit must have been at least more than 25 years ago! The school was closed for the holidays but I felt that it was just a perfect time to visit. I would have the whole school to myself to reminisce and should I become ridiculously nostalgic, smiling to myself, nosing around, nobody would bother! Turning in from Tranquerah, the long road leading to the school was quite the same as in the past except that the Wesley Church has expanded to both sides of the road and renovations were going-on. The ice-kacang ball and mee goreng chilli stall at the junction was still there but only in my mind!

School Frontage
School Frontage

At the end of the road leading to the school, a fence with a brick wall and steel gate greets you now instead of the roundabout I fondly remember! The whole secondary school compound is now fenced up. Back then, we didn't need to be kept in or out! Okay, actually it's probably because the school administration had been handed over to the government (hence the name change to SMK Methodist (ACS) and the boundaries).
