Builder's Club
Just as Key Club is the high school division of Kiwanis Internation, Builder's Club is the middle school division. The North Shore Middle School's Builder's Club participates in many of Key Club activities. Builder's Club Meetings are held the first Thursday every month.
Builders Club and Key Club Raise $16,700 for Make-A-Wish Foundation
On April 9th, the North Shore Builders Club and Key Club organized another successful fundraiser golf outing for the Make-A-Wish Foundation at the Glen Cove Golf Course. The sun was out and the golfers were in great form as they teed off on the first hole!
At the registration table taking in the donations, signing up the golfers, and assisting the student committee members were the dedicated students of both the North Shore Builders Club and Key Club. North Shore Schools Community Service Director Julia Salat said, “We are happy to report that everyone involved had a great time in making this event so successful. The event brought in $16,700, beating the goal of total dollars from last year of $13,000.”
Congratulations go out to all the North Shore students including Hailey Feinstein (Junior), Michael Curcio (Junior), and Sergio Recine (Senior). Additionally, much appreciation to the North Shore Golf team including Jen Imperiale, Christine Halloran, Michele Cochrane and Tracy Iacovelli with their advisor Andrew Richter who came back again this year to support the golfing event.
Many thanks also go out to the Glen Cove Golf staff including Head Golf Pro Howie Robertson, Assistant Golf Pro Ed Domaradzki, and Michael Stemcoskz, the manager of the Soundview Restaurant who also provided a delicious lunch to all the golfers and volunteers.
