godsmack - Bad Religion

BIOGRAPHY
The Boston-based band, Sully Erna, guitarist Tony Rambola, bassist Robbie Merrill, and drummer Tommy Stewart, initially made noise on a regional level with the 1997 independent release All Wound Up, before landing a deal with Universal. In 1998, the label re-released the album as a self-titled disc, with a few new tracks and new cover art. Stewart, who was temporarily replaced by Joe D Arco, returned to the band just as it began experience greater success with the combination of Erna's devistating vocals and the band's heavy, metal attack. With a slot on the OzzFest tour, Godsmack eventually sold more than 3 million copies.
